so i started my growing venture back in february. I had seeds ive been collecting over the years, i only saved seeds from the good buds. but i have no idea what is what. started off with 4, one turned out to be female, went with two more, and got one female.

the one on the right showed signs of sex, 11 weeks ago. the one on the left, 7 weeks ago (4/20 might i add )

So the one on the right seems to be some regular old dank (for lack of a better description) the one on the left has a nice piney smell to it. which im most excited about, esp since it was the one i topped to get the double colas. i also saved the cutting, and put it in with the others on 12/12. in the past 2-3 weeks its started taking off again, and looks to be doing good.

ive started flushing the older one, and the plan is to harvest this coming friday. i have a seperate container and two pumps, so i can flush one and keep the nutes going to the other.

its kinda big a jangly, should have done a little more selective pruning. and it took me a bit to get the light situation sufficent. so it was kinda tall and stretchy.

ive been letting this one go a little longer, because at about 8-9 weeks it was still kinda small, and didnt appear to be done growing. it was still flushing out new buds. so i just kept upping the nutes, and lettin em go.

anyway, im just trying to get some feedback. and show off my girls. thoughts on the quality? and quantity? and overall grow?

any advice on how much longer i need to wait? i bought a cheapo magnifying glass (2x/4x) but its pretty difficult to make out the color, ild say the trichs look mostly cloudy; but some are clear, and some look amber... lol... I need a better scope.... but that one is moving on to week 12 this coming monday... gotta be getting close huh?? i cut one branch, let it hang dry for a couple days... did a little quick dry in the microwave (at 5 sec run times, did it about 6 times or so, slowly)
had a very grassy smell to it (nothing like the sweet smell it has on the plant), and didnt exactly 'WOW' me when i smoked it.... im sure its just the chlorphyl breaking down, but i just wanted to test it out. i really didnt have high expectations of a non-cured bud, but i had to test it out... and the fact that its just some bagseed, i dont have a clue what it is... but it sure smells good on the plant.

allthough its nothing like the piney smell i have from the other plant on the left.... :)

Looking good. As far as judging when it will be ready it is hard too do from pics, when around 80% of the hairs turn red is a good time.

im just worried ive waited too long?? 12 weeks in flower? im starting to have a lot of these runner buds sticking out of the main cola. but i did let this plant veg a little bit longer, so i was kinda treating it like a larger plant, thinking it was going to take longer to finish...

It looks good. I noticed your drying your bud in front of the lights in that one pic, it is better to dry your bud in a dark place. In addition, a good cure will do wonders for the quality of the smoke. After 12 weeks of flowering, I would guess you could harvest it and from the pics, it looks ready.

ya, i figured that was a bad idea, i was mainly trying to speed up the drying of a small bud so i could test it out... it didnt test very well, maybe for obvious reasons.... lol.... but i think ill be choppin today!

So were approaching 2 weeks since cutting. They seemed to dry very quick. Temps were mid 80's and relatively high humidity. The larger buds were jar up at 5 days and the small ones at 3. They have never really got moist in the jars. I'm worried they are a little too dry, maybe just paranoid. I really only open the jars for short periods of time each day. And every couple days I don't open em at all. And I think they are starting to lose the 'plant' smell. But still not a strong bud smell unless I kinda squeze em btw my fingers. Guess I still have more waiting to do
