So do you leave your lights on when you are not home?

I just recently got paranoid about leaving my lights on when I'm gone for the weekend, etc. It's only a 150HPs and a Few CFL's but I just keep thinking I'll come home and the boyz will be waiting for me.

Should you turn them off when you are gone>? I have two plants about 15 days flowering and I can't keep turning them off for days at a time I think.

the only thing i worry about is fire. but that won't happen if your electrical is setup right. and make sure your hoods or whatever your light source won't ignite the plants. other than that your fine

Dont worry... they wont find out. They dont aim people with under 10 plants usualy... Even 10 is low for em. They aim for big shark

Your paranoid. Biggest worry is fire. A proper setup has safegards in place in case of over temp/fire anyhow.

You can't change lighting schedules just because you leave town for the weekend, you'll fuck up your bud.

Infact, I doubt many real growers, even if growing for themselves, leave the house much at all. Just like any other farmer, got shit to do.

the first night i left my garden alone for the whole day, i was basically expecting some terrible thing to happen while i was away (lights falling, fire, whatever). two seasons later, i don't even think of it. if you really think it out, you'll be safe.

word to that, esp. the second point. but for those of us with day jobs, you gotta save all that shit for your days off, lol.

yeap, i always leave my lights on.-your setup has to be safe and then you are safe!!!

of course....If you are that paranoid then dont grow mate the stress will kill you!! Alternatively just make sure you dont overload the electrics and replace bulbs every 6-8 months, and if you are really, really paranoid get an auto fire extinguisher.

its good to be paranoid when working with electrical shit. assume it will misfunction, anticipate the worst case scenario to be truly safe.

im like you, im unbelievebly paranoid wich is in some cases good so you take all the precautions. Like for me im really paranoid for fire or someone seeing the extension cord sticking out of my grow box(i dont live alone)

The best thing to do is buy a realy small fan that will keep the ballast cool.Make sure that all the wires are not tangled and if you have any exstensions going to the grow room make sure that the exstensions are fully unravelled.Check that no wires are lying on the ballast and the grow room will be fine.Go away and enjoy your self everything will be fine but check all the above before going.tyke...........
