Snow storm ultra/liquid light questions.....+rep

Which is the lesser evil, foliar or adding it to the res?

I heard good things from this stuff so i decided to try it this time around. I've basically built my own ebb n gro monster only added a 4" airstone in each bucket and the res so it will work more like a dwc thats alot easier to take care of.

The snow storm says not to add to res if using air because it stimulates bacteria growth. Is that the stuff that iindo of makes the hoses, cords, and walls of my res feel slimy? Does that slimy stuff eat nutes? normally when i had the slimy buildup i just flushed with fflorakleen for a couple hours and that seemed to do the trick. or did it just break the stuff off of everything and keep it in the system?

If used as foliar, do i have to wash the buds when i harvest? Is the stuff safe to smoke?

I'm also using liquid light + saturator and reverse. I have experience with the reverse, so any experienced advice on the liquid light would ve very appreciated. I read after i bought it that it mostly works on the trim/water leaves, which is ok because i use that for edibles...

Thanx for the advice everyone!

I use it and yes theres some slimy stuff but nothing to cause a issue, my air stones are on timers to come on just before a flood and shut
off after the flood, might look into that.

awesome! i really wasn't wanting to foliar spray my buds with the stuff....something about spraying chemicals on something that your going to ingest bothers me a little. I thought about using a foam stain paintbrush to bush foliar solution onto the leaves but that sounds really meticulous and time consuming. And would it be worth it? I'd love to be able to run my stones off of a timer but all of my buckets and my res share the same pump.

Thanx for your response +rep

dude there is a much simpler way to go about nutes, dyno grow, technoflora are real good nutes and so much cheaper

lol...don't think ive ever seen such excitement over nutes...glad to be of service...I use the cns17 trio cuz its cheap and i know it well. I use the floralicious plus for the humic acid, the dynagro cuz its a cal mag with a 15 p rating and it has sulfur, and the sweet because of the sulfur. I use the reverse just to be safe...you can never be too safe...and fixing to be using the snow ultra and liquid light for obvious reasons...

You need to use it both ways.foliage is good because it keeps the leafs dark green and healthy.
thanks for ur advice dude....+rep...lol..sorry...i got behind...high...i dunno...foliar on the buds makes me nervous...especially with the rumors about homboldt countys own products havin prg's and carcinagens

Well....whether the stuff is sprayed ON the buds or sucked up into the buds thru the roots, ya still will be smoking it. Hopefully the flush will take care of that.

Ive been using Snowstorm Ultra my last five or six grows. I notice that, under the microscope, the trichs arent more numerous, but they are taller than trichs of no SSU. They look kinda like tall top hats. Whether that actually improves potency, I dunno.

What difference have you guys noticed?

Didn't think about the flush at the end. I guess my concern is whether or not 100% of foliar is absorbed or if there is a residue or something that stays on the outside of the leaves and buds. I don't really have to worry about humidity because i can get the humidity in the room down to like 15% if i want to. and i have a hell of a recirculating fan in the corner...+rep
