snails in reservoir?

so i was just thinking. i have 1 fresh water rez, and a seperate 1 for nutes. anyone try gettin those snails from a pet store that eat the algee in ishtanks and try them in thier rez?

Then you'll have to deal with snail piss and shit..do snails even piss?

The idea seems good on paper but when put into practice it'd be best to just clean your water regularly.

nutes would kill your snails, and if your res is clean they wouldn't have food.

They'll mate and soon enough you'll have a billion tiny baby snails everywhere, they'll get in the pump, the filters, and probably the tubes, and probably delivered to your plants.

Try it and report!

I have a salt water aquarium, no fish, that started with 2 snails and no poop on the bottom. 2 months later I now have about 15 snails and poop everywhere. SNAILS ARE A BAD IDEA DON'T RUIN YOUR RES.

a snail for cleaning algea? Isn't that what algae-eater fish are for?
