Smoking vs. Vaporizing

Intro:
I recently moved to phoenix and after considering several new glass pipes at local smoke shops around town i decided that it would be much more benificial and effecient for me to spend the extra money on a decent vaporizer.

At the Hippie gypsy, a head shop in Tempe, i found a very nice selection of well priced vaporizers, many of which i had never seen or heard of. Being from the midwest all i had ever seen were volcanos, vapirs, and hot box's and the selection here blew my mind.

The girl working there was extremely helpful and explained, in detail, how each of them worked and the pro's and con's of each. Being a college student money is kinda tight so i knew right away the volcano was out of the question but lucky for me there were probably 10 others to choose from ranging from $150 - $600 (volcano).

My girlfriend and i finally decided on the VaporTower, $200 (vaportower.com), the deciding factors being a verticle design making it easy to pass the tube and mouthpiece around, a knob to adjust the heat, a two piece bowl that unscrews to sandwiches the green in between two screens, and best of all a lifetime warranty.

that being said it has been a week since the purchase and i dont have a comaint yet. I haven't smoked since we bought the tower and im starting to feel the effects of smoking go away already. Ive been smoking every day since i was about 14, and i love to smoke. For me, as well as most people, smoking was recreational as well as medicinal.

I smoked cigaretts in high school but quit before my senior year. One thing that helped me quit more than anything else was smoking green. weather it be a blunt, bong, or bowl i enjoyed the ritual of smoking as much as getting high, But after 6 years of everyday use i started to feel like it was taking a toll on my health. A constant weezyness and cough, the nasty flem, loss of breath, and so on. I needed a vaporizer.

After only a week the weezyness, cough, and flem have almost completely dissapeared, my lungs dont feel as tight or restricted, and most importantly ive been getting HIGH AS HELL...seriously. The high is truely amazing. Having built up a decent tolerance over the years i was very impressed at how ripped i was after only 2 or 3 hits. The high is different too, very clear, and without the heavy stoney feeling, i can only describe it as being simply high. The comedown is much cleaner not leaving me groggy or lazy.

Another major benifit is its efficiency. My girlfriend and i moved out here with about a half ounce of some KILL between the two of us consisting of probably 4 different strains - Big mac, g-13 and a couple unknowns. About half of all that was gone before we arrived in phoenix (it was a long drive). On average my girlfriend and I blow about an 8th a week but since purchasing the vaporizer we've smoked less than a half 8th IN A WEEK, and ive been getting higher than i have in years.

Despite being somewhat skeptical at first i now endorse vaporizers 100%. The health benifits are amazingly obvious after only a week of use, the high is amazing with all the recreational and medicinal effects as smoking, and the efficiency blows smoking out of the water. All in all, at this point, i would deffinately reccomend vaporizers to all serious smokers.....but i still feel like smokin a blunt every once in awhile

i am curious to see if other people agree or disagree with my findings, i would like to hear from people who have been only vaporizer for a longer period of time.

are there more benifits with long term use?

does anybody actually not enjoy vaporizing, and if so why

One more note my girlfriend just reminded me of, the day we got the vap it didn't seem to hit very well. We had both used a similar vaporizer before, the hot box, so we knew how to use it but it just didn't seem to be hitting, i was a little dissapointed, but we still got ripped. The next morning we used it and both decided it was already hitting alot better. since then its gotten much better. I dont know if it was due to inexperience with this specific vap, or if we just needed to break it in a little bit. just though i would throw that out there though....so dont get discouraged if you run into the same problem, trust me it gets much better.

It takes a few times before you get dialed in. The beauty is just siting there with a whip in hand stoned and then realizing you can just draw a breath and keep on gettin stoned. No smoke is awesome, but I do pass a Bomber around from time to time, well that an Brownies.

alright more questions, 1. when you get a good rip off a vape are you supposed to cough your balls off, because i do
2. does it made your eyes red/ as red as smoking, i swear mine dont, i don't know if it's because of only needing such a small amount or if its because you're not actually smoking it but hey thats cool with me
3. why does it seem like i keep getting more ripped after i quit vapein? like for the next 15 minutes....not complainin

I just got my V-Tower Extreme in the mail a few days ago.
I did a ton of research on vaporizers before I purchased this one.
All I can say is...I love it, I will probably never smoke again.
Vaporizing is truly the way to get high. It's clean, the high is cerebral, and when I come down, it's not a crash where I wanna go to bed.
I've known about vaporizers for a long time now, but I never really knew anyone who was ballzy enough to fork over $600 for a volcano.
I was at a guys house a couple of years ago and tried it. I was already super baked when I hit it, so I never felt the true effects of what a vapoizer feels like.
Until Now.....
It's a bit creepy at first.
When I take the first few tokes I hardly feel anything.
Then after a few more I start to feel it. It gradually gets more and more intense.
Plus there's no congestion or stuffiness like I always get when I smoke. It's a clean feeling. Plus the taste is amazing.
There are so many postive's about vaporizing. The one thing I love the most is the fact that there's hardly any stench in the room after I vape.

This was my Christmas present to myself. I paid $300 for it.
After trying it and loving the effects of it, I'd pay $500 or more for it.
The V-Tower Extreme is a Multi-Use vaporizer it comes with so many different attachments.
I have a choice between using the whip or the ballon method. When I'm finished I can use potpourri bowl to help freshen up the room.
It has such a sleek design that If anyone asks me what it is, I can just say it's a potpourri warmer with a clock on it.
It has a really cool LCD screen that show's the temp digitally.
The greastest thing about engineering aspect of it is the fact that it has a remote control.
I can go on-and-on about how cool this vaporizer is.

Vaping is great but I always find myself going through way more herb than Id use if i was smoking. Seriously. Like, I could take 2 bong hits of sour d and be totally baked. But, if I take out my SSV, grind up the same 2 bingers, place it in wand, vape it.... I then want more! I dont know why. I get just as high vaping (although a different more "up" high) but I guess the taste is so nice I just cant get enough. I like vaping and smoking but prefer smoking for some reason. But, I am liking the vaping so so so much better now that I got a SSV. When i had a Volcano all those years Id seriously use it like 6-10 times a year and thats it. I use my SSV daily. Vaping is also nice when you have company and dont want to stink up your house with mega herb smoke, everyone can get vaped and the place stays relatively odor free.
