Smoking Outside..

Hey gang,

I've been on the forums for awhile, never posting but reading the FAQ a bunch..anyways I got a quick question for everyone-

I live in some apartments and I am bound by etiquette to refraining from smoking inside so I have to go out to the patio to smoke, normally its joints because I do not own any pieces. Because its a joint, its constantly cooking with alot of smoke billowing out, what I am worried about is the smell..

Do you think it is safe smoking outside where my neighbors windows are about 20-30 feet away? How likely do you think it will attract attention or have the cops called? Thanks in advance!

hmm i dont think it would be that big of a deal...even if a neighbour could smell it...unless they actually saw u toking...how do they know it was u? just dont lean over the balcony or anything so ur in plain sight...i smoke in my backyard all the time...in the middle of the day even when my neighbours are outside...lol. i've never had any problems

I used to do that all the time bro nobody cared.

Well normally I never had a problem till today my roommate informed me he could smell it quite aways away. Probably paranoid but I just wanted to see if anyone has gotten busted in a similar fashion..

Thought about this, it would work if I didn't have to occasionally cart some relatives around. Most people could pawn off the smell as cigarette smoke but I don't smoke, so theres that haha

Yeah .. Works the same way with weed... You don't realize how potent the stuff actually is cuz you're used to it.. That's why I said it's possible your neighbors will smell it. . . You'd actually be safer just walking around the block and smoking or something. . That way by the time someone even smells if [if anyone even does at all] then you will be long gone.

well dont you know your neighbors? at least a lil bit to kno if they would snitch or not, i mean if you really think about it who really calls the cops because some is smokiin weed?

well, it doesn't matter WHAT you're smoking out of it'll smell. the smell isn't from that little bit of still burning ganja, its mostly from what you exhale, which is a considerably higher volume of smoke.

you shouldnt have ne problems man, and i agree you should know ur neighbors a bit too. if its a bunch of old white people then i wouldnt suggest u smoke when their window is open, or just say fuck it and do it newayz, i would, but im not fucked up about a cop gettin called cuz id ditch the shit quick. i say....SMOKE ON!

Agreed.

I used to take nice walks around with a J at night and have a lil mini adventure with my ipod. But its starting to get cold now

Yeah I know my neighbors, one of them only lives there on the weekend, the other is a no-nonsense soccer mom. She likes me okay so I'm not to worried, the only ones that have my concern are the ones across the road, real douche bags. Every time I say hi they blatantly ignore me. Don't know what they are capable of.

I love walkin and smokin too... It's nice to take a stroll through the woods and blaze by the lake. Smoking outside is nice... But yeah if it's cold then it's just plain awful. . Especially if it's windy...
