As we all know the time is coming for most of us!! Its gettin me nervous to the point where I want to start the karate chop a wee bit early due to hearing about some of your unfortunate luck with your crops getting SNATCHED!! It just sickens me people would do that after how many damn months of HARD WORK & DEDICATION????

WARNING: Trust me whether you know it or not..'THEY' KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS!!!

Im sure most of you know these and have heard of these before but this is mainly for the newbs and rooks but feel free to add on!! Here we go...

:leaf:Start soil before winter:leaf:
If you didnt know its a good idea to start your soil before the ground freezes up to get it all ready for spring. Just grab some garden tool and loosen up that ground!

:leaf:Mounding technique:leaf:
What you basically do is bury or mound the main stem/stalk up to the first set of branches and water the and feed the mounded soil.(repeat as needed) basically what your doing is making the root system enlargen by making more of the stem buried which mean BIGGER BUDS!

:leaf:Make sure you buy some damn bug killer:leaf:
You'll find that sooner or later you going to see some critters all over your crop, so you need to be READY!

:leaf:Dont smoke anything around your plants:leaf:
The smoke can 'clog up the pores' so to speak due to the chemicals that they are made with. That can cause some growth stunting and health issues for your plant(s) as well. Its better not to anyways because smoke can be smelt and seen from quite some distance and thats the last thing you want

:leaf:Give em' more time and START INSIDE:leaf:
If possible, start your seedlings inside under some lights for a good couple weeks to let them get a nice good head start for the year...Be cautious though as bugs love new soft tissue so let em get at least 6-8 inches before you make the move.

:leaf:Take DIFFERENT trails:leaf:
Always make sure your not taking the same trail over and over again so 'people' have a direct path to your prized production. Also it is easy for over head 'view' to see the beaten down trails and cause the eye in the sky to become suspicious

:leaf:Pick up all of your garbage/tools:leaf:
Make sure you dont leave ANYTHING behind near or around your grow area. This could attract easy attention to anyone around the area and might cause them to start a 'hunt'..This includes: Empty soil bags, water jugs, shovels, cups that your seedlings were in etc...

:leaf:Duct tape the bottom of your shoes:leaf:
Sounds kind of silly but doing this will lessen the chance of having solid evidence it was YOUR foot print or just the fact anyone was in the area.

:leaf:Always have an excuse:leaf:
You never know when you might get stopped upon visiting your site. Always have a legit reason of what you are doing out in the WILD. Whether its hiking, excersing, bird watching, rock finding..etc Whatever it is just HAVE AN EXCUSE ON HAND.

:leaf:Topping/LST for lower profile:leaf:
You should top your plants if you need to keep a low discreet profile especially if your doing a back yard grow where the chances are a little higher of being seen. Or you could do LST to duck em' down a little bit to reduce some height.

:leaf:Pick a good sunlit spot:leaf:
This is very important because marijuana needs at least 5-6 solid hours of sun light to make itself happy so to speak. Make sure you study your area and find good secluded spots that still recieve the greatest amount of sunlight as possible. Morning hours are the best. Also make sure the spot is not too soggy or dry of an area.

:leaf:Carry all items in a backpack of some sort:leaf:
You dont want to be seen carrying water jugs and what not to your sight. Might make people think either your really thirsty or your going to water 'something'.

:leaf:Camoflauge your site:leaf:
If you need to then its critical that you disguise your grow spot as best as possible and make it blend in with mother nature. I use more weeds and some branches and crap so my site doesnt catch any eyes. Make it so ANYONE could just walk right past it without noticing a thing. If applicable then try having your grow site in thorns and thick brush so know even would give it a try.

:leaf:Act like your an agent in a plane:leaf:
What I mean by this is act like your in the D.E.A. and your looking for plants. Try and imagine what they see from up over top. This includes: Beat down trails, garbage left laying out, unusual 'bush' patterns(dont grow in big clumps, space them out at least 50 ft), pots with plants in them(make sure if you do grow in pots, BURY THEM!)

:leaf:Fence up around your ladies:leaf:
Wouldnt it be a big bummer to find that some rodent chewed the crap out of your plant? Make sure you have some kind of fencing around you babies to keep them animals AWAY! Also it would be a good idea to try and camo-up the fencing to make it more discreet

:leaf:Mark your territory:leaf:
You can piss around(NOT ON) your plants to mark your territory and keep other animals away from your crop. It helps and is very effective when it comes to outdoor grows.

:leaf:Set-up some trip wire:leaf:
This should be done to see if you have some lurkers around your area. Simply just get some fishing string and tie up your area unnoticably and then you will be able to tell if anyone besides you has been around. Most of the time it might be animals so in other case look for foot prints

:leaf:Careful what you wear:leaf:
Try not to wear any white or bright colored shirts becasue they can be seen from quite some distance away including from the air. Try and wear dark colors like black, dark green, or brown to kind of blend in with your surroundings

:leaf:Dont check site too often:leaf:
I know its ALWAYS tempting to get the update on your babies and to see how they are doing but you need to be very cautious!! If people start noticing you going to your spot everyday or every other day they might get suspicious and have a looksy to see what your up to. You should only go when needed to feed or water and thats it! Its best to visit them early in the morning or late at night for a better chance at not being seen

:leaf:Planting in pots :leaf:
Just for the fact that they are transportable. If bugs are really bad in that area then you can move them. If you get noticed or spotted then you can move them. FAR AWAY!. If they dont get enough sun where they are at they you can move them. Its a BEAUTIFUL thing.

:leaf:Mulch around your plants:leaf:
This is done in very hot weathered conditions. The mulch gathers up water and moisture and it retains the water to keep the moisture in. Basically lets you water less frequently

:leaf:Clean up your garden:leaf:
Always make sure the area you grow in is in good shape and remember to pick off any dying or dead leaves on your plants. You dont want any un-needed attention and energy going to the dead parts which as the energy from that could be going to your buds!

:leaf:Bud rot:leaf:
If you start to see any discoloration or if your buds crumble to a touch then your are probally experiencing the dredded BUD ROT. You need to pick and discard any rotted nugs and search the others for worms like that might be causing the rot. It could also happen from the weather as well but what ever it is you need to throw away the rotted buds FAST as it will spread

:leaf:Think about the surroundings:leaf:
Pay attention to that because come harvest time a lot of the surrounding brush and foilage will be dead but you crop will not be. You dont want to do all that work for nothing do you?

:leaf:Harvest at night:leaf:
Ok do you really want to be hauling out a bunch of plants during the day time? I didnt think so. Just use common sense at do it at night but try and keep the flashlight activity down to a minimum. You can use a red lensed flashlight because they hard to detect during dark hours.

:leaf:Try not to use a credit card:leaf:
Always pay in cash whenever buying anything for your garden. Credit card purchases are logged at the store. These logs tell what you purchased and when it was purchased. Companies sell these logs to anybody that can afford it.

:leaf:DONT TELL A SOUL!!:leaf:
Enough said...

Well, im sure there is plenty more tips & tricks but this is just some of the few that are out there..I hope some of you enjoyed reading this and maybe picked up an idea or two or maybe have something to add to this..

Very true...Cant argue with that..

It pisses me off that some jag'z think its okay to ruin a whole season worth of work n dedication in just one minute
