Hey everyone. I'm getting prepared to start my first grow and am trying to figure some things out before I get started. The thing is, I'm trying to grow in my closet. I live in an apartment so obviously I can't stink up the entire apartment building which is what I'm afraid will happen if I don't eliminate the smell. I have read around that carbon filters work really well and my question is what would be the best way to set one up in a regular closet to make it as effective as possible at eliminating any skuny odors. Also, any other suggestions for keeping the smell from leaving my grow space would be greatly appreciated!

i would try a fan like the ones in bathrooms with it venting to the outside, maybe two of them if your really worried about smell

ok repeat after me Negative pressure!!!
all outgoing air goes through a carbon filter
of you do that you will likely be ok. all tho i am sketchy on apartment growing

Either that or in an apartment get a tent and then you might be able to control smell a little bit better and get an inline fan connected to a carbon filter so it pulls all the air out through the carbon silter even when you unzip the thing

hi, i will be growing for the very first time in my life(in a month). i will buy a tent in which to grow, how will a carbon filter fit in it, do i really need one, my room is in the basement of a house and a tiny window, i will buy a fan which i will connect to a pipe will that work? and do u really need a temperature/humid control thing in it? if u grow the toughest plant as long as i maintain temperature at is it 26 degrees? and what is the toughest plant to grow that can handle some abuse?
