smell while tent is open?

I'm planning my first small personal grow in a 2x4x6 tent with 2 300 watt leds and eliminating smell and stealth is my main priority. I have a a carbon filter and a 6' fan to go with it, but I was wondering what about when you have to open the tent for feeding and everything else. While the tent is open will the smell overwhelm the entire house and somehow leak outside? There are two windows in the room the tent will be in. I live in a fairly large house, and when you cook some really stinky shit you cant smell it outside the house for reference if that matters...

Do you think I should get another carbon scrubber for the room the tents in itself or something? I planned to get some ona gel gallons and possibly a ozon generator. I've never been around actual plants before so I don't know how strong the smell is. Basically smell inside the house isnt to a big deal but I'm scared it will leak outside for everyone nearby to smell.

Also one other question. Should I use an intake as well as an exhaust fan? I only ordered one fan/carbon filter combo.

Thanks.

If you're not growing a skunk strain you'll be fine opening it up for normal maintenance. It won't leave the room unless it's a really strong plant. Before it was legal here I would have suggested papaya from Nirvana Seed it had almost no scent at all, but the smoke was strong as fuck

By the way a cheap clip fan blowing directly over a dollar store jar air freshener we'll keep it out of the room.

Awesome and thanks. I'm going to try and find autoflower strains that aren't as stinky as some as the others. Thanks to everyone on here who helps people. some of us really need it. Keep on keepin on and stay safe out there!

My Golden Tiger has the most potent citrus and pine smell when you touch her but 6 weeks into flower and I can leave the tent open for 30 mins and no one can smell anything I can barely smell them unless I touch them.

Seriously check out that papaya from Nirvana
I want too but Im a bit paranoid and thinking about ordering domestic within the us because it seems safer without going through customs. Do you think any us domestic seedbanks carry anything similar?
I'll look into golden tiger. sounds appropriate.

On my 2x4x6 cab I just make a little frame and make an air lock on the front. Like a plastic room. Shut it then open the tent. Zero smell. I had to do it for a cheese strain that was horrible.

That sounds like really good idea. If I can figure out how to throw one together. Do you mind posting a pic of it so I can get an idea?

When I open my tent I crank the fan controller on my scrubber to max and haven't had any issues. Harvesting is another story, my entire house was thick with the smell even though I was in my finished attic. Formulate a plan to do EVERYTHING inside your tent. I dried and ended up harvesting the last bit in my tent. Very cramped but it was the only way I could prevent the whole house from smelling.

I actually have some but haven't run them yet. The advertise their Blue Mystic and Northern Light to be low odor.

A lot of strains when healthy don't give off a ton of stink while growing.
This is true.
When your plants suddenly get stinky, they are telling you that they are under stress.
But we intentionally stress them with UV and mimic insect attack with frass, so it's not uncommon for them to stink when nothing is wrong.

This is something that I have been particularly concerned about this grow season. I have a 2x2.5' grow space, 6' tall, with a carbon filter that works adequately. I open the door for 3-4m max and the room does start to stink, so if you're growing in a space that people may frequent this could be a problem. However, if you're one room (and particularly a hallway) away from a front door or busy area, you should be fine.

Add Ona later in flower if that is a problem.

It also helps to avoid opening the tent near the end of lights off & beginning of lights on. That's when they smell the most.
Best time is at the end of lights on. Most terps have evaporated by then.

Bro, seriously, if it's illegal to grow where you are, ordering from overseas isn't going to add any substantial risk to your operation.

Unless you are ordering a lot of seeds, no one is going to bother spending all that money to track you down.

Besides, if people got caught that often, or even at all, from small overseas seed orders, then you would see people posting about it.

And actually I think a domestic order would pose more a risk.
