Please help! I have 4 plants growing in a deep water culture and while I was moving the plants to a new bucket to replace the water, my plants got smashed into a few of my shirts that were hanging in my closet. 3 out of the 4 seem okay, but one is bent in half. The main stem does not seem broken, it is just bent over and the plant can not support its own weight now. Some of the leaves are bent too. What should I do? Will the plant eventually repair it self and return upright or is it done for? I hope they are not in too much shock. Thanks.

If it is real bad, you could stick either chop sticks or bamboo rods in the pot alongside the stem and tie or tape the stem to it for support while it heals. It will heal and still grow. I would also wrap the bent or cracked stem like a bandage for a day or 2. :peace:

at a hobby shop, or hardware store get yourself some wood dowel, long enough to run up right beside the plant and then tie and not tightly to the dowel for support and then dont worry about it.

If it's only bent not cracked or anything, you could always support it the best you can and leave it that way its called lsting I believe supposed to give you a better yield, if I'm not mistaking your side branches will begin to grow upward witch in return you should get more colas/buds, are you able to post a picture of it?

The first time i snapped a plant (strawberry cough) was an accident to.I was tying down colas,to keep the light close to plants, when 1 snapped. While it healed itself the other branches grew the biggest tips I had ever seen on a strawberry cough... Support it if you have to but dont worry much, she'll be fine...Good luck to ya,DTRave420:peace:

Is it bad if my cooling fan accidentally fell in top of my baby and I was there to pick it up as soon as it had happened? They seem fine but maybe they are in shock...? I guess I will know tomorrow. I feel like that other dude up there.

You both have accidently LSTd you plants. Let them go, they'll be fine.

did the same thing as the author did, bent one of them right in half. I supported it with a brace and a week later` it straighted itself right out. I couldn't believe it.34
