Small Rubbermaid 2-Plant DWC Grow Questions

I have a 28liter dwc tub for 2 plants. I was trying for 10 gallons (mimic 2 5-gal buckets) but didn't work out that way. Is this gonna be sufficient?

I have a lil less than 3' to work with to grow 2 plants. I'm trying to maximize harvest so i was thinking LST for 1 month veg, and then flower. Am i dreaming? Lol

That's just under 7.5 gallons, should work fine.
1 month of veg is a little optimistic. 5 to 6 weeks is a little more realistic to get 3 foot plants.

Well 3 foot plants for harvest. I have just under 3' total so i can't veg them to 3' or i'll be screwed when they flower. But if i can LST them into a circular bush ... maybe i can veg a good 1-1/2 months before i flower?

I understand what you are saying and what you need to do..... 1 way to maximize space and Harvest Weight would be to ........ top the plant when it gets to about 6 inches, so you get multiple tops. Veg until you reach 2 to 3 ft tall, then LST the Branches to fit your space (L x W). If you LST all the way down to where the stem splits from topping, you can get your entire canopy below 12 inches. Then start 12/12. This should provide you with wall to wall to wall to door Buds, 6-18 inches thick! Good Luck! (Keep in mind, this is just 1 way of many)

Hey Dmoose,

Havn't checked this thread in a while. I have the grow going now (like 3-4 days from sprout) i said the hell with the rubbermaid and spent $70 on a plastic 2 door cabinet. Same specs tho basically, just easier to work with. 3ft high ... between lights and pot container is probably only 2ft tho. Would have been the same with the rubbermaid.

Anyways, that's a good idea. I'm definately going to top (or fim) it, and then lst down all the side branches to make everything the same height. A scrog if you will lst'ing is the ideal goal. I want to learn from the getgo strong canopy management skills. You think 6" will be too short to top/fim? What about if i want to clone the cutting?
