This is only for 4 to 6 plants.

If i have this:

62-Inch x 36-Inch x 20-Inch Reflective Hydroponic Grow Tent

roof, top back, bottom right: 4" holes

it would be okay to use just two 4" Inline Booster Fan 4 Inches Duct Fan 100 CFM, GYO2405 ? out-in and in-out ventilation.

41gx4BcUwhL._SX342_.jpg <---inline booster fan

Lights:
Digital Ballast:250W
Reflector:Binary (6" Flange)
Bulb:250W HPS/MH (2 Bulbs)
Timer:Digital
Light Hanger:YoYo

I'm gonna have a thermometer and humidity gauge to check if the temperature is betweenn 70 - 75f AND 40-50% the humidity and lower level when flowering.

I'm gonna be editing this post with the information taken from comments.

You don't need 600w, most of which you will spend money just to cool + unnecessary elec bill

Check out Area 51 lights. I don't use them as I am more into DIY, but you can't go wrong with them

Also, depending on strain, you can only grow two plants. That tote will be fine to veg, but you will want to move the best 2 into individual pots. See my thread to see how I am doing it in a slightly smaller tent

a 2'x4' tent like that with 600W HID would be 75W/sqft which is a bit overkill unless you're growing tall ass plants.

A 400W HPS lamp in it (8sqft) would be 50W/sqft which is a good amount of light.

i'd go with a single 400w, you can get a MH and HPS Bulb for them, one for veg one for flower. Also nice to have a spare in case one blows. . i got a 48x48x79 tent and a 600w cool tube with a 400cfm inline/carbon scrubber. Have to run my extraction full boar 24x7 to keep temps around 78-80, that is only at 400w. Depending on your average ambient temperature you may or may not have a problem. Do you know your Average Ambient air temperature? are you in a basement where its stable year round?

I would get a larger extraction fan, maybe 200cfm if you are going to run a air cooled hood as well. Air Conditioner is always a good thing to have, i bought a 14k BTU portable AC unit for about 750$, it works wonders when its on. buts haunted and decides when it comes on, when it turns off and if it should go to heat pump mode when its 79f ambient temp.....

Damn, looks like you spared no expense. All commercial stuff, I like... but too rich for my tastes. I started ghetto, and im slowly graduating little by little, investing here and there. Is this your first grow? I'm assuming it is due to airflow questions? The size of that tent is rather small, I would say anything that pushed 400 through there will be good to go, no need for overkill, you've already spent a pretty penny i assume. either way good luck amigo. :) welcome to RIU

dont know if your 600 is a cool tube or not, but i would get your out air duct, as close to the bulb as possible so its helping to suck the heat out. my 1k even at 50% makes a bitch load of heat. not as bad as i expected (former CFL grower still technically on first grow (about a month away from harvest). But If i was you, i would just get your ladies growing, and go with your gut. If it feels too hot, go bigger, return the fan. etc... your gut will tell you when something is wrong, the ladies help a lot... by looking at them, and tending to them on a regular basis, its almost as if they speak to you. kinda kreepy honestly... lol

My first grow was one that i used to have at the balcony which i'm smoking lately but it has nothing to do with the californian medical that my friend sales, then i start researching and i found out that the best that i can do is hydroponic, so far i just bought the hydroponic system, PH up down, ppm meter and a medical kit from nirvana. i was thinking about that tent but do you know about something smaller? im trying to spend the least energy.

Don it really depends on how you want to grow. I only have 4 plants in my 4x4 tent with a 600w. Because i will be growing large and the higher the plant count in my province the longer the jail time.

I would ask what do you want to get out of this for yield? How much money do you want to spend? where are you putting it?

I would suggest getting the 400w Cooltube, i would also get a 6" 400cfm Inline fan with carbon scrubber (you should get ducting with it) Your temps are 90-91 in summer, so combine that with the heat from your light you will be running almost 100f in your grow area. Way to hot. 90 is the limit for cannabis. with increased airflow you can combat this. You said you have an AC unit? that could work if hooked up in the same room. it only needs to drop the ambient air temp 10 or so degrees and you should squeak through the hot months. With your temps though i would abandon the thought of any standing water system, instead i would look at an Ebb and Flow setup. with all your water/nutrients in the same res you can easily use water bottles to keep the temps down. even then ebb and flow can run at much higher res temps than say DWC.

I would look at getting a tent as it does not require putting hooks etc in the ceiling to hang equipment, a lot better for not damaging your current living arrangement.

Also i got a wireless thermostat that i put in my tent. updates the temp every minute or so on the main standalone. really nice not having to open the tent to check the temps.

i have the DWC system already, but my house is almost freezing sometimes because of the AC, so if i have 400w hps and mh lights with one fan with filter is ok? how many fans i'm going to be needing ?

Alright, as long as you don't get close to your outdoor temps you can run it, res temps should be 64-68f imho. You will only need one extraction fan. As you will go from your carbon scrubber, to your hood, then outside of your tent/room to your extraction fan. then that exhausts outdoors (i put my exhaust into my heating ducts, helps keep the house warm in the winter.) Also one circulation fan. maybe a small 6-8" wal-mart oscillating fan to keep co2 rich air running over your leaves and strengthen branches.

I still use an old school stanley blower for exhaust. It's enough to cause the tent to implode hard without intake holes. lol

I don't even hook em up to cool tubes or anything, I just let heat rise and exhaust from the top of the tent. I have no duct work inside the tent, just have the output of the stanley taped to the wall and hung on the ceiling frame with ropes.

Don't let their size fool you. These things really suck!!

If you didn't get a tent yet, plan the square footage of the tent area on the light you will be using so you have between 40-50W of light per square foot. That's why I like building my own tents from 2x2s and screws. I can plan the size to be exactly how I want it. Also, if you build your own tent, you can plan the exact size around the bins you will be using for hydro. Our tent is designed so it perfectly fits 5 of the bins we're using while having between 40-50W per square foot.

I really like 400W hps lamps, but others swear by 600W. I personally like scaling up with 400W rather than upgrading to 1x1000W lamp to have multiple sources of light more evenly spread and hits all the plants from more angles. It all depends on how you size your tents.

I second this... all i have read about hydro and yields and health come directly to bubbleponics. basically a steady drip line pumping (no timer or anything) and a DWC resevor that the roots grow into entirely... So all that is needed, is a rubbermaid large enough for however much you wish to grow, or many units. A single water pump for each system, x amount of drain pots, (whatever medium you want to use in them) some tubing and your done. easy as fucking cake. take your clone or rockwool cube grown seed, plug into medium, put dripper on it. and watch it grow... as long as you have a halfway decent nute system going 50-75% strength, and keep your ph in check periodically, its almost fool proof. way more controlled than buying random soil and hoping there is enough of this, and not to much of that etc. plus with hydro because its always there when the plants need it, you get 2x3 times as much results (from what i have read) than standard soil... I dont know jack shit about the prosess of what or how much you really apply to hydro, as all i do is water my shit with liquid nutes twice a week, and hope they hit the right spot in the soil.
