So im curious as to how many of you guys are doing small grows 5x5 or smaller and use any growroom controllers. Im getting ready to move up to a 4x4 and thought about using em but not to sure its really worth it.

I have a controller for my fan to slow down the speed. I have a timer for my light. What else do you need?

Was talking with someone that had environmental control's for everything humidity, co2, dehimdity he also has data loggers and some other things in a 4x4 tent and i thought it was over kill but thought i might be looking at it wrong so figured id ask.

IMHO that is overkill! That kind of setup is for someone who is growing on a much larger "commercial" basis! That's a large $$ investment. Private and personal grow and use is actually pretty simple in a 4x4. Don't overthink it!

Small spaces don't need much automation. My light has a built in timer, my extraction fan is always on. When the lights go out I turn the fan down to its minimum setting 12:00am and I wake up at 6am when the lights come back on and turn back to full speed ahead. Thats about it for me. The little fans inside and outside the tent are always on.

My partner and I have built an environmental controller to keep temps locked to our set point, time lights, fans, pumps and log data/take photos
