small cfl grow

I'm using a 1x1x2.5 box to grow a Bubba Kush clone, and 2 mystery seeds (From a seed bank, 3 strains got mixed up on accident)
Strains are White widow, Citral G13 and Jack Herer. I have 2 13w cfl's, each one on a seedling, and a 23w on the clone. The bulbs are mixed spectrums, I switch around the bulbs every once in a while. I ran the clone and seedlings on 20/4 for the first week, and have them on 12/12 now
They're all planted in Nutragrow generic potting soil, and I've been watering every day. I recently starting using maxigrow on the clone 1/4 strength, and put a little bit on the seedlings for shits and giggles. I was using the nute water every day but have been cutting back to every other day or so, and lightly, becuase the clones leaves have been yellowing and getting dead spots on the tips, and drooping, not sure if its ph or nute related but I figured the nutes probably aren't helping.

So far the seedlings are a little over 2 weeks, and the clone I'm not sure. The clone is about 6' or so, and just starting it's 8 or 9th node. It's been producing a lot of hairs on the node sites and smells pretty good already

One seedlings second pair of leafs are growing well, however the other seems to be producing a bud instead of a second pair of leafs?? Where there should be the second pair of leaves, it has two little super crystally or hairy looking bud things and tiny hairs coming out, instead of leafs like the other seedling did. im on mobile so ill post some pics when i figure out how

I got 3x 23Ws and 1x 10W low out put for extra light.
4 Seedlings going off. Put up some pictures, I need to get some more of mine up its just a ghetto rig really nothin special

pics! this took me forever to figure out its hard as hell to post pics using an android. these were taken 2 days ago

the first pic is the bubba. you cant see in the pic really but the 2 biggest leaves are yellowing and random leafs are getting small dead spots. some leafs are a dark green and some leaves are a light green, im not sure whats up with it but im broke at the moment so not much i can do i dont think

the second pic is the weird seedling. the camera doesnt really capture it, but the small things in the "armpit" are super crystally or something, and has 2 little hairs sticking out. the thirs pic is the other seedling, its growth has been slow but sturdy.

For starters put your lamps 2" (Inches) away from each plant. Also when you can, you need to try and upgrade your bulbs to at least 26W (Not =26W). And this would only last for a few weeks, supposedly you'll need 4x 23~26W *Actual Watts* per plant in the end, depending on if your only keeping them 2~4ft. (I'm not a professional and I hope someone will come in and clear things up better for you, but thats my two sense :D.)

I have each light about 2-3 inches directly above each plant. I'm completely broke at the moment but I definitely plan on upgrading the lighting before too long. all 3 are in a small 1x1x1.5ft wooden box lined with mylar, so I think the 3 lights I have right now should be mostly sufficient, for right now

yeah those lights are good...for now..when i was using cfls i had 11 per plant and they were all between 23 and 26 actual wattage..and i still needed more..put the light as close to the plant as you can..like an inch or 2..those puny ass lights wont burn it unless its touching it for a bit..get more lights.

Holy fucking shit, 11 per plant?
5~6 don't work of 23~26 actual Ws?

5-6 will work, but thats only 130ish watts and like 5000 lumens (little more)..thats why i had a bunch..optimal is like 7000-7500 per sqft.

A good rule of thumb is at least 100 watts per plant and 5 - 7 thousand lumens per. sq. ft. of grow area...

I have three 42 Watt which for my two babies and I plan on getting to more...

yeah it could be stretchy, like very spaced out nodes or airy bud.. or both..it kinda depends..if you didnt veg long and its gonna be a small plant you could probably get by with 5 or 6..

Yeah true, for me it's about having money to spend at all right now. I don't got Y sockets or more lamps, or even (alot) more bulbs at the moment so I'm a bit stuck.

I'm in the same boat as you. hopefully I'll get some disposable income to upgrade the lighting, but for right now these are going to have to do. What does it mean when the leaves on my clone are all different shades of green? some more yellow, some dark green.

Darker green is usually a healthy plant. Variation in color might be lack of some nutrient, prodomiminataly nitrogen promotes new growth. Could be the water your using, or over watering. Let your babies absorb mostmoisture from the soil. I won't suggest doing anything other then letting your soil dry out ( or near to if it scares you ) and then water like you would regularly and continue to do this. Hope this helps, over watering is almost the #1 cause for problems with beginners.

30-50w will cut it in veg for the first month or so but if you veg longer you'll need closer to 100, and same for flowering 100+ per plant

If I'm understanding right then you're seedlings we're only on 20/4 for a week? If you switched you're lights to 12/12 that would explain why one of youre seedlings is starting a bud. Don't get me wrong I haven't even started my first grow yet but if I'm wrong someone please correct me. When you switch your lights to a 12/12 schedule then you induce flowering.

12/12 is correct for flowering. 16-18/ 8/6 is veg.
