i have these tiny black bugs all perched on the underside of some leaves on my plant... too big to be spider mites but cant make out what they are. mostly on fan leaves. went to get my camera and the lights were off when i came back, ill snap a pic tomorrow. my plants are very near finishing flower. any idea what this could be? thanks for any input you have.

cheers,

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your feedback so far. Can anyone confirm if this is a root aphid infestation?

If so, what have you successfully used to treat the issue? Thanks for the info on Mighty Wash.

Cheers,

Really close to the end, was going to chop within a few days. Is it too late to use azamax? Or is there a foilar solution I can do now that will break down in a short period of time?

If you can let em go a week you may be able you use calibuzz's habanero spray. I hate bugs, but look at it as a learning experience. Hell I've delt with fungas nats, thrips, mites and powdery mildew in the last four years and were all a learning experience.

i would hit them with mighty wash and remove any you can visably see
i did mighty wash drench a week ago and have not seen a single bug since. you have it much worse than i do. its amazing you made it to harvest. your roots are probably shot

make sure you clean every piece of equipement, hang sticky traps to tell if you have a reinfestation
there are some good threads over on thcfarmer

dart, do you think i can use the habanero spray and then harvest them the next day? obviously still drying time and curing and all that... so any spiciness should vanish i would think. id like to try the mighty wash but im not sure my local shop carries it. cheers

I'm not sure, I'd be a little leary that the hab spray would still be there a day later. You could try just plain ro to wash em off . Are they on the leaves only or are they on the buds too?

as an update, i made the pepper spray with some fresh serrano chili peppers from the backyard and it was potent as fuck. gave the lil plant a wash down, rinsed with some plain water the next day, then harvested the day after. it seemed to kill or at least get rid of almost all the root aphids. thank you everyone for your help. at least the ones who gave decent thought to my questions. cheers and rep for ya!

thx, mr.bond

Hy everybody, I think I have the same problem with those small black bugs under leaves and please, if anyone knows, could those bugs make harm to my buds ? I planned the harvest in next week or ten days... I forgot to say that this is outdoor organic growing, on my balcony and I have only two plants, they are beautiful. Please, sorry for my english, I'm writing from Croatia, Dalmatian coast, mediterranean climatic zone... What if I cut of all infected leaves ?
