Small ACMPR Kush Berry Grow

If you added vermiculite, that's probably the reason you don't have to water for 3 or 4 days. I had my mix at 50/50 coco/Perlite and needed to water every day once the roots hit the bottom of the bucket. The bottom 3" I had straight Perlite as well.
The guy that explained hempy to me recommended 70/30 p/v
That's what I tried to do.
I kinda like being able to leave em alone for a few days.

Mine it pretty much the same as I took the perlite about an inch above the drain hole to account for compaction over the course of the grow.

Time to tie the plants down again. If they were vertical I figure they would be about 10" tall but I have been keeping them about 4" tall with a little LST. Once I get an even canopy across each pot I will flip them, another week or so I'm guessing as the lower branches should fill it out fairly quickly.

Hopefully they will show pre-flowers soon. The plants all have 7-8 nodes right now.

(In perlite medium, pulling plants over with strings, careful not to shift root mass=shock=slow growth for while, I suggest extra string at the base of the stalk to stabilize/balance the pull of other side string/s.)
Looking good man!

I'm in coco, just the top inch is perlite to deter fungus gnats that seem to be all over my yard. No gnats in the tent but it doesn't hurt to prevent them.

Day 34 Veg.
Today I gave them a feeding and I was able to skip a day in between again. I'm going to stick with feeding every second day unless I see wilting. I also gave them a foliar feeding of Kelp and turned my light up to 100% or 1000w to get them ready for the flip and the 1000w HPS.

The plants are filling out beautifully and I am going to continue pulling branches to cover the white areas of my pots but I am going to try to get some height now as well. I'm thinking 12-16" high then I'll flip them.

I think that I am doing this right. I keep tying down the main stalk and I am starting to see the beginning of what will make a very bud filled canopy. The plants now have at least 10 tops in their canopys and that number is growing everyday.

Here is one of the plants with a pretty good canopy starting. Bushy little things aren't they!

I just wish that I had offset the plants to one side of the buckets to keep the plants over each bucket while I LST them.

Well today all plants are looking very good. Last night when I checked them just before lights out, I noticed that a few looked wilted so I checked them and they were bone dry! I must water everyday from now on.

I'm going to focus on height now so I can flip the plants to flower. The LST worked awesome for this strain and I will only LST this strain if I ever run it again.

All the plants have at least 12 tops so they should yield pretty nicely but I need to get another 8" of height before I go 12/12. That will make them ~15" tall at the flip. I'm hoping to end up with 30" plants by harvest.

This strain is annoying to run! I have never seen a strain that takes so long to Veg. I'm on day 37 and nowhere near ready to flip them. I'm regretting starting this strain over the Sweet Skunk x C99 seeds that I bought at the same time.

Or maybe I'm just getting bitchy from not smoking for a few weeks now as the deal I made with the wife was, I could buy my equipment, soil, nutrients and genetics with my money I would normally use to fill my prescriptions with my LP. I know, I know LP weed sucks but right now I'd smoke dog shit if I knew it would get me stoned! (Reminds me of Cheech and Chong)

Day 39 Veg.

Some plants are looking awesome and some not so awesome.

For the most part they bushed out nicely and should probably produce some nice buds but there are a few that just won't fill out like the others.

I want to flip them so badly but I also want 2 oz per plant as I expect to lose half when they show their sex.

I'm still watering every day and foliar feeding too.

I'm seeing alternating nodes on most of the plants now. But I'm not seeing anything to indicate sex yet.

I'm getting worried I might be trying to compensate for potential males too much as these plants are for the most part super bushy and short. I'm not sure I'm going to get many males if any!

If this is the case, my tent will be extremely over crowded if I let these plants get much bigger. On the other hand if I flip them right now and do get a bunch of males, I could end up with a shitty yield.

I have no idea what I should do. I know these plants have very little stretch in 12/12, I'm so confused right now.

The plants are LST and tied down. So although they are only 6-8" tall, the main stalks are well over a foot long on most of these plants.

Any suggestions?

I just watered at 1050ppm. I started adding Natures Candy now to start conditioning my plants for the higher ppm's they will be getting in the flower cycle.

Here is a picture of the plants out of the tent after a watering. All ready for inspection.

Depends on how much vertical height you've got.
I usually expect plants to double or sometimes triple in height once in full flower so those 8" plants will be 24" tops.
If they were mine I'd probably untie now and give them a week to stretch up a bit more then flip.
Also comes down to how much u need the medicine and is the extra week worth it?

I never realized I was supposed to untie the plants. Lol. It's simple shit like this I have to learn.

I think I agree, I want to see some buds. I will untie them and flip them over on August 1st. I have a sneaking suspicion I have more females than males.

Some folks leave them tied up especially under screens but I usually untie them and let em stretch out a bit.
The shape is already established at this point imho.

Sounds good to me. I'm on board and my thinking is if I untie them, they should open up better and hopefully let better light to the inner branches.

Since its my first grow in quite awhile I will be happy if I get 8oz which I know is poor for a 1k light but I just don't know what I am dealing with as far as female plant count and honestly I don't care as long as it's top grade smoke.
