Put some little dishes of beer/lager around the bottom of your plant, they will go to drink the beer/lager and fall in pissed and not eat your weed.
Slugs can do a lot of damage to your plants especially if theres a few of them,if it rains a lot where you are make some little hats for the dishes out of old 2/3 litre bottles and just cut an entrance in one side:blsmoke:

that's a good idea. i picked through my plant and just found the one slug now, but it was outdoors for awhile, i'm keeping it indoors not cause it's just about done and the weather freakin' sucks. gonna try to rock the rest of its life with a bunch of CFLs on 12/12.

hope it goes well, so far, so good. damn slugs!

no offence ..... you do realize that you said you would "rock" it with cfls in comparison to the biggest light KNOWN to human life (the sun)? i mean seriously, how often do cfl's burn out? ok well how many times have you had to go buy another bulb so you could use the sun again? its gotta be better, even if it is crappy weather all the time.

never had a CFL burn out on me yet and i'm using two tube lights along with them.

check your wiring, i know CFL's tend to explode when you get a lot of power spikes. however mine have lasted years (i use them in all sockets)

slugs and snails will destroy your plants over night.

Copper wire will do the trick wind some around the bottom of the stalk and they will not cross it. I have used it for a few years on my outdoor and no problems. Stops snails too! You can buy a mesh like I use from these guys, it expands as the stalk gets bigger.
