Anyone had experience with slow release nutes at all? I plan on using them for a few plants and want to get a feeling for them..

Is there a high incidence of burning? Whens the best time to add them to the soil?

They're for a guerrilla grow so I'd only be checking up on the every 3 weeks or so.

Its going to take water to release the nutes. So you'll have to depend on mother nature to help release the nutes

what kind of slow release nutes?

boneman is right, that chemical slow release nutes require water/rain to make the nutrients available, also with some types im pretty sure temperature is a factor as well. they will not be able to do their job under a certain temp, i think its under 70*f or around there, not positive though.

organic fert/nutes are activated by microbiological organisms in the soil. they break down organic matter and feed the nutrients to the plants roots. these too will require water and temperature to remain alive but i feel they are much more reliable, the soil "works" for your plant. as opposed to watering to make your nutes work for your plant.
