At least i have a faster free seed that is growing faster. Seems the white widows grow slow compared to the other unknown strain.

i was picking around the surface of the soil and saw the tip of the same root that u turned.
Will the plant make more shoots underneath and continue downwards?

That's quite odd...have you just been spraying the surface of the soil to keep it moist?

I've been watering keeping most to all the soil damp. I don't know for certain if the root has done any downward growth. Im guessing this might be the cause of slow growth. What will the plant do to correct this? What can i do to correct this? My first thought is to just let it grow. Its not growing out of the soil its just hasn't grown downward since i dug it up early on in growth. The leaves are growing very slowly but are green and look happy so far.

will the u turn hook grow additional branch that grows downward?

I dug it up again today because i was curious if it was growing downwards. I saw a tiny root structure mabey 3/4" in height. Hopefuly that one root thats begining to travel down will take precidence and wont pancake horizontally. Leaves grew a tiny bit and another set is growing as well.

well if you do that, you're limiting your root growth. the roots won't grow in an area where the medium is dry. that's why it's a good idea to stagger to bigger sizes until you get to where you wanna be.

you said you were watering around the plant and leaving some of the medium dry. well, now the plant has retaliated and is sending the root's to where the water is.

I need a strategy to get this back on task. Do i put my pails in water and make soil absorb from bottom up?
Do i just let it dry out and let the roots grow downward?
Do i dig a hole 8" to the side of pot and funnel the water deeper into the pot?
Do i stop misting?

tell you what i'd do, put them in appropriately sized containers. at that size, i'd be in pretty small pots, maybe 2 cups or so. i x-plant a few times, but imo, it's just easier. as soon as you start seeing the roots poking out of the drain holes, go bigger... regardless of what you may have heard, x-planting is no big deal. unless you're a complete spaz, you shouldn't have to worry about stress.

I think i can replant them. What a pain though. Gona go to 99 cent store to find some small containers. Think solo cups would still work? I will have to replant all 3 of my white widows. There is a free seed planted straight in 2 gal that seems to be doin fine new growth and second node is coming up.

in the end, the reward is worth the pain, lol. i usually start in those blue/red plastic beer/keg cups. just make sure to poke holes in the bottom for proper drainage...

My medium is moist deep down. Soil at drain holes is damp as well. I water everyday but not to the point of runoff just saturation.

Alright i will replant. I hope to see a noticeable gain in about a day or two..

don't water every day! sorry for yelling. water when the medium starts drying up some. 2 finger joints down dry, water. when it starts coming out of the bottom, stop. you'll notice as the plants get bigger, you'll have to water more often.
