Slow down or speed up?

Im sure other people would have had this issue but I couldnt find an answer..

Out of 4 seeds planted on the same day, currently 2 of them are about 5" tall and starting to produce thier 3rd set of leaves, and the other 2 are still just 1" tall with first set of leaves. One being Pure Power Plant (mostly indica) and the other being LezHaze(mostly sativa). The pure power plant is racing ahead and Im concerned its going to really mess things up with my veg and flowering times. Would rather they stayed more or less at the same pace. Is there anything I can do to either speed one up or slow the other down without harm? At this stage both are on the window sill but i want to move to the grow cabinet, 2x130w CFL.

Cheers!

Running both a sativa and a indica at the same time takes some extra work and they will need plenty of space. I am sure you know the sative will take longer that the indica and usually be taller. To answer your question, the sativa will shoot up and eventually pass the indica. You can supercrop and try a scrog to keep them the same heigth.

I've been growing some mixed hieghts lately. I just set the shorter plants on boxes etc. to bring them up to the taller plants. I've also done LST on the taller plants and left the shorter alone. Both seem to work.

i was just going to say the same thing.. if its height your worried about LST it.. just get a string or some yarn... and tie a somewhat loose knot (you dont want to choke it.. and you want to leave room for the stem to grow) around the stem about an inch from the top of the plant.. and you can either get a piece of tape... and tape the string to the side of your pot.. or... make a hole (with a holepuncher or something) in the side of your pot and tie it through the hole... tada... now theyre the same height.. lol

lol.. glad we all could help.. i grew 4 random bag seed.. and they all turned out different too.. some are short and stalky.. and soe are tall and lanky.. i just use DVD cases to raise the shorter ones up closer to the light.... kinda sucks tho cuz they all get ruined from when i water them.. lol. but its deff worth it.

I use 1" high rings I've cut off of 4" pvc pipe just to hold the containers up so they drain good and allow air to circulate under the pot. I don't see why you couldn't cut some of these at different heights to help level out the canopy. Of course you couldn't get to tall or things might tend to get tippy. Might also need to go to 6" diameter pvc pipe to get a little more stability.
