SLgreen ScrOG and standard

I'm starting a new grow now. This is going to be composed of a ScrOG table and some normal plants that will all grow in soil.

There is a propagation tent at the minute. This is approximately 4ft (120cm) x 4ft base with a height of 200cm.

In here there are currently 2 propagators filled with peat pellets and 1 aeroponic propagator. 40 pellets per standard tray and 20 babies per aerogator.

There are 70 random seeds that have been collected which I decided to germinate, and some old Northern Mist Fem seeds. The N Mist have become lost in the mix due to lack of performance during germination.

They were cracked in blacked out glasses of water. This has worked perfectly for me in the past, including my more recent 200 cali connections and Double Dutch. I had a 98% success rate with those.

This current attempt went badly, but I am taking it on the chin and instead putting much effort into my DNA Martian Mean Greens, they were put into germinate in a dark place in tissue yesterday, so hopefully they will be ready to pellet up within the next day or two.

The lighting for propagation is a 125w CFL, this should be plenty for clones, seeds and some light vegging. I have had plenty of success with them before.

ScrOG

The table has had its parts constructed. It will be around 2.1m x 1.15m. This will be filled with a self constructed mesh with two inch squares. So hopefully this will be fine for passing growth through and still provide a strong support for what I hope to be some heavy buds due to use of LST and time. Attached is picture of the space sans table.

I have never tried this before, but have had great success with the SOG method, and so thought I would try this next as I am always keen for trying new things and attempting to improve wherever possible.

On the table I am planning on having 12 plants. These will be grown in large pots, hopefully at least 10-15L each. There will be a gap between the screen and top of pot of 8".

Soil and Nutes
I am using Plant Magic soil for this, as I have already had great yields with it in the past compared to others. The same with the oldtimer grow and bloom. To go with these I have also got some catalyst, bio-silicon, evolution, root stimulant and potting granules. I thought I may as well try all PM, It worked well before, everybody raves about it, and I don't want to take a risk.

Rooting gel I will be using is clonex

Currently I am only using a CFL, but I will be using HPS for flower with some red CFLs to supplement it and get a little extra light coverage.

I will update this as much as possible and would like it if anyone has any advice or help to offer if they could do so please. I hope to interest you all with my journals. This is new for me as I never did this before, so enjoy.

Hey chameleon, I will get some pics soon. I only put the seeds in the pellets yesterday, so on my next update in a few days I might have some long reaching roots like I did with my amnesia seeds. I have great expectations from these matian mean greens.

MISSPHOEBE i get what you mean. I'm thinking to use plasterers buckets for ScrOG girls. Get as much root mass as possible.

I'm germinating some beans now. g13 OG, g13 bubble?, dna lemon og and some fruity strain. These will all be mothers.

I threw out the two trays of random because they were very weak and barely leaving the soil. So now I only have 5 martian in my aero propagator and 4 potted amnesia. the ami are in 12cm pots with plant magic soil.

I will update with pics soon

peace

I checked on the girls today, and the martians have started sprouting their leaves already, very impressive. I am extremely pleased with the growth quality from the aeroponic propagator. The capacity is 10 litres and I have a 1000L/h pump with 4 misters. I only used 2mL of plant magic root stimulant in the water, making it 0.2mL per litre at initial mix up with obvious decay in concentration with time, it will all be replaced once per week so as to keep concentration at a reasonable level and also to keep it fresh as it contains things such as humate which can rot.

Full update coming saturday.

Ok. Sorry for the long wait, but here I am again. This time I will start of with pics of one of my Ami plants when I first tied it down to start LSTing it.

As you can tell, I first did a countertie on the base of the plant, this is to hold it in that fixed place regardless of any LSTing I do to it. I then cable tie looped around and attatched this to wire taped to the side of the pot. I will drill holes in the pot once they're in a larger one and redo the tying.

Ok, in continuation of previously: This is the same Ami as I tied up, but this is 7 days later

It has strengthened up and the main stem has thickened and toughened up nicely.

Since then I have also started LSTing the other 2 amis. I will upload images of these later. The LSTing seems to have boosted root growth, but they were rootbound in those pots. So I placed them in larger pots. The same seemed to be happenning with an OG kush, so I have also placed this in a larger pot, although this is not being LST yet.

Here is an image of the roots from the ami: IMG_0069 - Copy.jpg

In addition, I have also added some auto lowryders purely for quick smoke. I have Auto AKs, Critical rapido, Auto cheese and NL automatic. In total 11. These are coming along well, and I will update with more images later.

I have changed the lights from the Blue CFLs (2x125w) to 1 x 600w HPS. This is mainly due to the temperature in the room. I am now close to 26 degrees C.

Heya guys, how's it going? Been very busy (as you can see). Crazy summer, but I've still been working on everything too.

I'll start with a bit earlier in July. DSCF0139.jpg

Things have progressed well. Here is a picture of an ami now, after going into flower 3 weeks ago:DSCF0201.jpg This is only the flower, but I will make sure to upload a whole plant photo of all the ami plants.
