Whats up friends. Today I tied the main branches down some more and adjusted some of the larger fan leaves so that the new growth can get the most light. Each little new growth tip grown some more and they are getting frostier and more hairy every day I look. It's so exciting.

I also rigged up a little cooling fan out of some cardboard and a CPU fan. I set it up so that it blows under the canopy and through the lights. The temps have been getting a little high in there lately and I figured it will also help the plants overall health to get some airflow.

Now I am going to let her rest for the next 3 days(no more tieing) and see how she develops. Any one wanna guess about yield??? aprox. 110 watts CPF.

Its been on 12/12 for over a month now but it has only been showing it flowers for the last 13 or so days. I have this little rectangular, hand held microscope. I think its 30x. I will use it to look at the trichomes. I like about 30% clear 70% cloudy for a reallyheady high. A little early for some but I prefer it to an overly somatic high.

I hope she will get good and fat by then

do you plan on doing the whole bush or just 1 or 2 main colas? the pc fan thing u made is that ur exhaust or just a setup to keep it cool in there?

The fan is just to cool of the lights so I can keep them closer and to keep the plant movin around a little. It is in a very large(walk in) closent and when I open the door every day I waft a bunch of fresh air in there w/ the door. I figured this will be enough for air exchange in such a big space.

I plan to let all of the budsite develop all the way and I will harvest each one depending on how its trichs look. I hope that f I keep tieing it down that all the little budsites will form little colas well.

Another flower shot...

The following pic shows the main three budsites and the new budsites that are now growing vertically since the training. It aslo shows a little 6inch plant that has just started to flower as well. It nearly died from root damage during a transplant about a month ago and has not made any new growth since then. I threw it under 12/12 and now she's got hairs too. Maybe i'll harvest a joints worth of that little lady. lol

looking good!!! keep up the work. I planted my seedlings this morning and threw them under 12-12 b/c i want them as little as possible and only one cola or 2 colas but small small small. idk if i put enuff soil in. when i poured water into the cups in like compacted itself and idk if i watered them enuff cuz the water didnt come out the holes of the cup but i didnt wanna over water so i'll check on them later.

I wouldn't sweat about the low soil. As long as its not to compact the plants should grow great. A little soil compaction is expected with the first watering. Also, if you find that the soil level is to low then you can always add new soil to the pot after the seedling is established.

Piling soil up on the stem of a seedling, or transplanting a seedling as deep as its cotyledons (its seed leaves) is not uncommon. As long as the seedling is far enough along to withstand stem rot at the soil's surface, the plant will develope roots along the buried stem.

You are right to err on the side of caution with watering. It is so easy to overwater seedlings. Most people are so over attentive to their seeds that they overwater/mist way to much. I know I use to to be guilty of this error myself, but MJ roots like to get nice and dry before they get another drink.

You sound like you know your shit. I am sure your first grow and journal will have killer results. Keep us posted.

Any thoughts on when this little lady will finish??? My guess is in mid march. That would put her at 9-10 weeks of flowering. I just ordered a 150w econo HPS and I will put ol' girl under it as soon as it comes. That should help increase yeild I bet.
