It isn't very often I have an opportunity to document a grow from seed as I'm usually cloning from an N'th generation mother. So, today I acquired some Skunk #1 seeds that I will attempt to journal from seed to crop. In terms of results, aside from regular personal bud, I am looking to expand my horizons and get into breeding my own stock of seed, and having a solid Skunk #1 line will be a great addition to my girls.
At lights on tonight, I will pre-soak 5 rockwool cubes and plant 5 Skunk seeds. I go this way for ease, I have done paper-towel in the past, but opt to start them in their life-long grow medium immediately to avoid unnecessary transplants or accidental dry-outs. These cubes then go into a tray that is kept with about 1/2 to 3/4 of inch of water until they sprout their first true leaves.
These start out in the nursery, where they'll spend the next few weeks with other moms and clones for my next regular cycle.
