single cola plants?

Yea. I almost bought one, but then I needed to get the ballast and wire and... yea. I had no plans on this being an inside plant. I had to move it inside because some one snagged the main cola. Lost about 9 inches, thats why the cola to the left (in the pics) looks funny. Its really big for inside, five foot. So you add in the room needed for the reflector, I would've had to put it in a closet and I dont have anywhere to put the stuff in my closet. Soooooo...... Those are the lights she gets. If I could have left it outside, the buds would be sooo fat right now.... but you cant cry about spilled milk. Im just glad they didnt snatch the whole thing when they had a chance! But thanks for the compliment and advice.

Yeah, since someone snatched the cola, what makes you think they won't come back for more?

You can get decent results with CFLs, and actually with the # you have you're probably pretty close to the lumen output of a 150W.

If you wanna continue growing indoors, I suggest getting a 400W or better HPS system.

My 23w 2700k (6) are 1600 lumens, The 43w 2700k (1) is 2700 lumens and the 23w 6500k (2) 1600 lumens as well. The plant is in a real small area. about a 3 x 3 foot area. Like I said the buds are getting fatter by the day so I think I am good. This was a one time shot anyways so its going to do. Cant afford to spend 150 for something that I really dont need, but want. Ill keep updating so all can see how this grow turns out.

I usually top the plant one week into flowering .. because then it does not produce one big cola bud at the top.. it produces two medium size buds.. Ive done both ways, and even though the single cola is bigger, from my experience I have gotten near the same yield with the two bud formation BUT each of the two buds were of a higher quality (same thc content % BUT nicer formations)... though there are a lot of variables, so it depends on the strain, environment..etc

Are they salty?

Yeah, I find with topping you end up with the same yield, but a bunch of smaller buds, that are difficult to trim.

"It does work and well.. fast and solid with an ounce to an ounce and a half per plant... The trimming I spoke of is anything to low to keep air flow low since all the plants stay small.. Try it.... Have funn"

can i use a fluorescent light

I am a first time single cola grower and I am hooked, induced to flower at 6-8" finished out with a 18" happy happy 1oz per plant not bad for first time. I trim back all branches at day 7 and again at 14. also this method does work best if plants are close together. I use 4" cubes tightly packed gonna try 5" cubes next time.

Peace Love and good luck to all
