I have a large hydro setup, I spend $2000 year on cubes. I was thinking of getting 5" netpots n hydroton over the 4" cubes n just Go back to aero cloning n flood more often. Also I want to avoid algea and disposing cases of rockwool isn't fun. But I'm wondering if there's anything else to consider..? Weight?

Anyone with similar experience?

Its initially $500 but pays for itself over n over.

I use netpots... When I running seeds I use the rockwool cube that takes up the entire pot, but when I'm running clones I use the small cubes and surround it with hydroton like your talking about, with the white covers to block as much light as possible getting to either the rock or wool.
