Shroom Growing

Does anyone know where I could purchase a growkit for shrooms?

I think shroomery.org is the site with the info. Something like that.. Some don't ship to Cali tho...

just Cali or all the US?

Don't Bother with a grow kit, They are just a waist of money, All you really need are 6- 8oz canning jars, they will cost you about 10 dollars. A bag of Vermiculite, brown rice flour (or you can just grind your own brown rice), aluminum foil and the spores, which you can find at Spores101.com. I have done several grows using this method, Let me know what I can do to help... The total cost shouldn't be more then $35.00. Go to shroomery.org and look for the PF-tek Method for simple minds, thats what you want..

Those do look good ha. I heard shroom growing is very easy to do you just lay the spores and let it do its thing is that true?

Growing shrooms can be very easy if you know what you are doing. The most important thing in shroom cultivation in keeping everything sterile until the mycelium has grown to a point where it can not be overrun by other bacteria or contaminated by molds.

I love shrooms, i want to learn how to cultivate it soon.

my advice is to watch that youtube video, and do everything yourself... i paid way too much money for stuff that didn't work right, but it did work when i did it all myself (much more rewarding also). its easy check out Shroomery - Magic Mushrooms (Shrooms) Demystified its got all the info you'll ever need... just dont eat too many

i would recomend alacabenzi or south american from spores101.com
and dont buy jars online allready sterilized..... shit is heavy and expensive to ship.
easier and cheaper to go to wally world and make your own

30 jars? Wow about how many grams is that?

i think you're talking about grams of dry mush
i usually get 3-7g per jar (alot of factors)
but i hate saying that and jinxing it
i would be happy with 4oz in 30-45days
packed and pressure cooked them all by myself.. took about an hour or so + for the cooking
ill shoot them up tonight and throw em in the incubator

(havnt grown in a while, i made the mistake of filling my incubator with hot water while i was in a hurry and killed about 60 jars, they cant get above 85-90 it kills the spores. made me too frustrated hah)

any ideas on where a CA resident can get some spores?

from start to finish, growing your own shrooms, shouldn't cost you much more then like $50. For that price, you can expect to get somewhere around an ounce of so, when finished. Thats if your using the PF-tek method. I would say that out of 8 1/2 pint jars, I averaged about 3-5 grams each. I like the gulf coast strain the best. I have done a few experiaments with different strains and different growing mediums. And gulf coast really takes the cake as far as i'm concerned. I do it on rye flour not Brown rice flower. The rye work much faster then the Brf.
