Should you LST an Auto?

Hey everyone, like the title says, should I LST an auto, or should I just leave it as it is. Right now I'm about 16 days in with World Of Seeds Northern Lights x Big Bud. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

Yes. I always lst. unless I'm doing sog. What kind of light are you using? With cfls or t5s it important to lst so you dont just get one bug cola and a bunch of popcorn. With hids, not so important but I'd still do it.

ive never LST'd ive only had one grow under my belt, my next one im gonna be doing a SCROG with my autos under 500w of CFL's. dunno if you know but its like LST but the plant is trained into a wire mesh. Ive never scrog'd or lst'd but the more i read up on it the more appealing it sounds, for my set up anyway

I've been reading scrog, and I think it's a better alternative to lst only because it gives better support for the buds in flowering. I think after I weed out (no pun intended, haha) which ones are going to be mom's and which are going into flowering I'll be trying the scrog.

Most Definately you can lst autos i have some jock horrors now and boy am i glad i lstd them and its turning out great...happy growing to ya

what kind of yield did you get from your jock's

try it with one plant and compare your results with the others. what works for you may not work for others. everyone has an opinion on everything. we do LST sometimes and others not. depends on the plant and how its growing and its phenotype.

Is LST on auto's something worth trying? Yes.
Will it benefit every single strain? No.
It's best to watch two plants of the same strain, grown identically, side-by-side, one being lst'd and the other not, for each strain, to see how they handle it, and if it is worth it.

I have a few strains tied atm, some are looking much better than others, so as above,not every strain responds well to it. I'm not sure that the ones which don't look so great aren't just mongols :/
