Should we be doing more with Rick Simpson Oil?

RSO can be anywhere between 50-90% THC from what Ive seen so to know best what your working with you need a lab test and from there you can dissolve the RSO into whatever delivery method you need oils or balms etc... Once you figure out how many actual mg of thc and other cannabanoids per 1000mg (1 gram oil) than you can just do some basic math and punch in the amount of material for the delivery method to figure out correct dosing. Ive done it down to the drop for tinctures up to like doses per tablespoon depending on the delivery method and the persons need.

Took a qoute of mine from a similar coversation that also may interest you and pertains.. pretty sure sure I've talked to you before about rso
, "just trying to help you achieve maximum effect/efficiency
Yes cannabis oil can easily be infused.. thats not what was being discussed...?
In layman's terms, this oil mix is simply acting as a carrier. thc itself is extremely lipophillic with a very high log p, a compounds distribution coefficient is used in conjunction with other aspects of the pharmacokinetics to determine how the body reacts to a drug.

thc has a logp of about 7
In practice optimum colonic absorption is 1.32, intestinal is 1.35, oral 1.8, Cns 2, percutaneous at 2.6 and sublingual 5.5
Lowering the polarity will drastically enhance absorption, this is why you can't just rub hash on you.. smaller carbon chains are more polar as well as being absorbed through the skin easier. an unsaturated fatty acid is more polar, ch bond vs cc bond
(Again, trying to keep this simplified)
Oleic is great.
Unrefined sunflower oil with 5-10% etoh or pg will enhance permeation. This is the best route without chems you probly don't know where to get (and the use of is more questionable, especially since your using rso)

A pea size amount wouldn't do shit to me.. I'm not saying its not potent or wouldn't work but its not an efficient way to get the cannabinoids into your system. A large portion will simply sit and be destroyed in your belly.

Figured I would toss in part of my thread on coconut oil

....Now Medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) are medium-chain (8 to 10 carbons)

In the digestive system MCTs are broken down into individual fatty acids (MCFA). Unlike other fatty acids, MCFA are absorbed directly from the intestines into the portal vein and sent straight to the liver where they are, for the most part, burned as fuel much like a carbohydrate. In this respect they act more like carbohydrates than like fats.

Other fats require pancreatic enzymes to break them into smaller units. They are then absorbed into the intestinal wall and packaged into bundles of fat (lipid) and protein called lipoproteins. These lipoproteins are carried by the lymphatic system, bypassing the liver, and then dumped into the bloodstream, where they are circulated throughout the body. As they circulate in the blood, their fatty components are distributed to all the tissues of the body. The lipoproteins get smaller and smaller, until there is little left of them. At this time they are picked up by the liver, broken apart, and used to produce energy
MCTs do not require bile salts for digestion and therefore, passively absorbed by the intestinal tract into the blood stream where they are used for energy."

Sorry thought you had that one.
I grow a high CBD pheno of Cannatonic but it is a very different cut than Cannatonic #4.

You were right about me mixing RSO and coconut oil though. I mix roughly 4 grams of RSO and a half cup of coconut oil and add it to capsules. They tested at 70mg of CBD per cap if i remember correctly...

Heads up though its easier to calculate a rough estimate if you use grams of coconut oil/ grams rso. Lets say your rso is 72% actual thc. So in one gram there is 720 mg of thc. If you wanted to make 50 mg pills your best bet would be to have a ratio of 13.5-14g coconut oil to 1 gram of RSO.. At least in 00 size capsules you should be able to fit .9 to a whole gram of infused coco oil leading to a dose of 51 mg per cap. Beleive me I have been doing R and D since January on my coco pills with endless lab tests to prove what I am saying.

I've never looked into this but I was unaware we had any cannabis testing facilities in Michigan. What's the company name and if you don't mind my asking, how much do they charge? I've heard it's upwards of $700 for the gas chromatography test (I think that's what it's called).

I'm moving forward with researching the compounds that comprise the entire marijuana plant due to my belief that the oil is where the real medicine lies and I would like to better understand the compounds that I'll be concentrating, so that I can better understand the interaction of those compounds within the human body and what benefits may be derived. I have very limited understanding of CBN and CBD as far as what these compounds are capable of, but I'm looking forward to having a better understanding so that I can then share this information with others and eliminate some of the confusion within the cannabis community that runs so rampant. Perhaps then, we can both talk about CBD and CBN in a constructive conversation. Until then, I'll be researching :) I look forward to our future productive conversations and we can both discuss the future possibilities of the holy sacrament that god wanted us to have that evil is trying to keep from his people. J.C. wouldn't be cool with cannabis users being criminalized, and that's no joke. Spread the word! :)

Iron Labs is in Walled lake, they are a members only cannabis testing facility. There is a one time membership fee of (I think) $200 which I believe includes a couple free tests. After that, tests are $40 each for flowers and $50 for concentrates or edibles.

That's significantly more affordable than I ever thought it would be. Thanks for the contribution Huel.

Check out their website, its a good learning tool. You can view peoples test results (except people that hide them because they are ashamed of their moldy buds) and even sort them by highest cannabinoid levels or strain names.

Scoping it out now!

Huel, some people would probably even sell that moldy stack of buds which is the sad world we live in. All the more reason to support individual home growing and teaching people how to do it themselves. At least then, if you're smoking moldy shit, you got nobody to blame but yourself.
