Should I switch to led?

Hey guys, I've been growing under cfl's ever since I started and all the plants turned out perfect.
Now that I am seeing how popular led lights and one of the best things for me is it doesn't give off barely any heat. Another thing is that cfl's take a lot longer to harvest a plant. I'm growing an autoflower that should be done in 8 weeks but I'm on week 6 and it's nowhere close to being done. If I get an led would that be a lot better time wise than a cfl. Pretty much, if I got an led and the autoflower says it will be ready for harvest in 8 weeks, would it be around 8 weeks? I don't want to get an led if it doesn't shorten the harvest time by much. I want a light that can actually grow the plant in 8 weeks, would an led be capable of that?

I don't have over 150 bucks to get one so I was looking at the mars hydro 300 watt light, 80 bucks, and the 600 watt, 159 bucks. I don't understand how the 600 watt light is only 80 dollars. Would you guys get the 300 or 600? I was also looking at the viraspectra or whatever it's called lol. I've seen ppl had great results from this light, so what led would you guys get. This is a big decision so I need your guys' professional opinions. Thanks

Any pics of your plant? I doubt it's the type of light that's slowing you down.

I don't think either one of those lights are going to greatly improve your situation, and I've seen some of your plants in other posts....not perfect. You can throw money at this problem, but it's not going to solve it...especially not with cheap leds.

save your money unless you buy a good led light

It can't be the light that's slowing me down because I used to grow so many times and never had any light problems

Ok I think I will just stick to cfl's. Did you ever see the plants I grew 4 years ago, because I grew about 8 plants perfectly with no problems. Thats why I think it's a nutrient problem.
I ordered tiger bloom and big bloom so hopefully that will work. Thanks for the reply.

dude,, for right around 100 bucks you can get a 400 watt HPS set up on ebay or amazon,, buy that in stead of the cheapy led,,, and ROCK YOUR GROW!!

It might take longer then the 8 weeks cause thats usually time from seedling or when the plant has 3-4 sets of true leaves. That could take a couple weeks. Plus the breeder might have counted from a different point with a different technique
and or exaduerated. Also some say ready in 9 weeks and they are ready then but premature in my opinion

I don't have much experience with LED or autos but I think I'm right.
I wanna try led think 3 watts per bulb not less then 1...

How often do you change out your bulbs?? Cfls are only good for a few grows..

imo if you gonna go led save up for a decent quality light.

what a nice guy! you dont even have to do any google foo! I picked up a couple Apollo LED's yesterday cant wait to try em. I personally wouldn't have bought them. but for $100 I got a 600w, a 135w UFO, a 400w digi ballast, an econowing reflector, some fabric pots, and a few other odds and ends....along with some AUTO GENETICS!! I couldnt believe my luck, I needed this after getting my stuff stolen so I'm glad I made the trip... My point is I wouldn't but an LED unless you get a decent brand and/or a great deal. They're still learning alot about LED's, they should keep getting better and cheaper

I would always expect a couple extra weeks from what's stated
... Patience is a virtue... I heard that saying more times than I can remember when I was growing up, never thought I'd be preaching it lol anyway good luck, time for coffee

Imo autos may be part of the issue...very susceptible to slow growth with the slightest stress. Genetics play a huge roll as most of us here have experienced.
