Should I space out the plants in my SOG more?

I've got 26 lollipopped plants crammed into a 2X4 flood table under a 600w light. There about 10" tall and I plan to switch the light cycle in the next couple of days. I was planning on expanding the grow area to 4X4 once the plants got bigger (by using another 2X4 table and another 600W light). They're starting to get in each other's way even with the branches on the lower third cut off. Do you guys think I'm better off just keeping all the plants in the 2X4 table? Meaning I would cut off more branches rather than spreading them out and doing less pruning?
