Should I SCROG or SOG?

Hey all. My state legalized cannabis last month and I'm trying to figure out what I want to do. Legally, I can grow up to four plants, but no more. Since I want to honor this new-found freedom, I'm not going to exceed that number.

I like the challenge of abiding by the law.

The issue with SOG is I won't be able to have weekly harvests as I'd definitely exceed my numbers, but I would have a fun little project and an opportunity to master a strain. I could probably harvest one per month once I'm up and rolling.

The bummer with SCROG is that each cycle is so far apart, but I'd likely yield way more bud. Plus it looks damn cool and would make great use of a 400 watter.

I can't SOG under a 400 due to space constraints, FYI.

My question is this: If you could grow only 4 plants at a time, would you SCROG 2-4 under a 400w HPS, or would you attempt a SOG under a 150w HPS? Why?

if you can only grow 4 plants at one time then I would do both setups. Scrog 2 big beautiful bitches out and keep another 2 on a constant cycle so you don't always have to wait 2-3 months for bud

With plant limits and you wanting to stay within the law; scrog is my suggestion.

I would set up two different tents and have them on a cycle so you can harvest once a month. Hopefully you can grow them big enough to supply yourself through the month.

Thank you friends! I've decided to simplify the setup and put everything into flower--no SOGGING, cloning, or multiple cabinets/tents/chambers anymore. I ordered a 400w to replace my 150w HPS since I'm not running a "production line" and want to focus on bigger plants--I will be growing everything in a 2'x3'x6' cabinet that I made.
