Should I LST and FIM?

So my friend gave me this plant at 7 weeks old. It's only been about a week but needless to say it's growing out of control. First time grower and I'm really just experimenting with this plant, so I want to train it. I've done quite a bit of research on shaping techniques and just cultivating in general; however I come seeking advice since I'm practically going in blind.

I know it's late in the game to start LSTing but I'd like some input on how I did. Will this be beneficial for a more bushier plant? Or is this just embarrassing? I'd really like to start FIMing to encourage more growth but I'm not sure which nodal structures I should go after. I know the pics aren't the best, but any and all input would be appreciated.

Tent is 36x20x60 and is located in a closet. Temp averages 77 degrees F, humidity at 30%. Currently using 4 26w CFLs about 2-3 inches above the plant and a small 3" fan is blowing inside. The friend who gave me this plant had no clue what strain, didn't know if it was from clone or seed, and didn't know what nutrients were being used. Couldn't even tell me the growing medium, and to be honest I'm still not quite sure. I'm currently using Fox Farms Trio at 1/4 strength every other water and only watering when the top inch or so is dry. Nute solution and water is always ph'd to roughly 6.

Anyway here's the album, any input is appreciated.

This is just my temporary setup. I have a 600w cool tubed hps/mh on it's way which will have a 6" fan blowing through it as well as an additional 4" fan and carbon filter. All of which will be set up within the next few days.

I would tie the branches to make an even canopy. I use yo-yo's myself but you can use a net or whatever. I like to take a clone or 2 in case I like what it produces. Throw it into flower and keep the clones alive. It doesn't have enough foliage but it is definitely small for 7 weeks.

bump. I need this question answered as well. When I LST my plants I get lots of "top colas". Do I FIM each of them? There has to be a point that it becomes counter productive.

Top it and super crop it like crazy. Make sure you dont train the plant when its about to go into flower,t but for now if you dont build a tree you wont have any yield

Dont be scared . I usually find the lowest head and then super crop everything else to be that size
