I actually think I might be getting worse, mostly due to laziness. I have been late on a lot of watering because I don't have the motivation to lug five gallon buckets of water up and down my basement steps. My plants are also recovering from a thrip invasion.

Thanks you guys will post pics up daily on this thread. Doing some homework and reading up on seedlings. Will throw em 12/12 on Monday morning, would 16/8 trigger flowering still? Or just 12/12
18/6 is what I veg under and it doesn't trigger flowering.

In photo period plants they have to be mature enough to flower. Even though you throw them into 12/12 doesn't mean they will begin flowering until they are mature enough.

Next stressing plants can create hermaphrodites in cannabis. So if you are already concerned be careful. But your first grow just try to get the plant to maturity. That's job one.

I have been thinking of moving my grow upstairs to avoid that problem, but once again laziness comes in. Never really messed with hydro unless you count an aerocloner.

LOL right now I'm on a strain hunt. I don't even know the grams/watt I'm getting. I'm just trying to move through strains fast.
Same dude. I'm going to be simply exploring strains over the next few years to see what I like. I been smoking fucking no name and random kushes over the past 2 decades. The culture around here suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. There is no culture. It's all discovery for me. Also I'm not so interested in Grams per watt as I don't sell and I'm more interested in the quality of the resin itself.

When I find out the strains I really really care for I will snag 50+ beans and keep them for future pheno hunt/mothering. Or make f2's of super hyped strains with packs that I get.

This leaves me to mention it was really interesting Bman and his friend did a test where they sifted a couple whole plants of the same dried weight. Sifted out all of the contaminant collecting ONLY the trichome heads and the weight results were staggering. Some plants make more trichs than others. Really got to me thinking. That's a whole new step/process to selecting a mother for those of us who are truly interested in extraction.

To every one about the gpw think of it this way if your planst are so healthy as to prduce a ridiculous number (3gpw is ALOT) in my mind the resins always good

just clarifying im not in it to sell either was my way of staying humble as I probably will never hit 3 lol

Here are a few of my extracts. I'm currently using the C99 on the left and the Space Queen in the middle. The far right is mixed indicas. The bottom is DNA Pure Afghan I am using to treat a Basal Cell CA on my left nare.

Last year was my seed year. I did a bunch of selfing and crossing.

The girls today doing great, can't wait, Anyone know the reason they are so small? Is it the cups? I'm looking for square soho cups to maximize my space View attachment 3293655

Don't worry about to small, worry about alive. They look fine. I use horticultural equipment rather than solo cups and the like. I just put them through my dishwasher so it saves money in the long run LOL! It could be a myriad of things on size and/or also the genetics. So focus on keeping them alive. That is the plan.

Essentially while you are learning to grow you are going to kill plants and do everything in the world to decrease their yield. That's why it's so funny to see newbies with CO2 equipment. Just focus on the broad stroke that keep that plant alive then dial in on your growing skills.

How old are they? What strain?

Maybe they are inbred and don't have that hybrid vigor you are used to seeing?
They are about 3 1/2 weeks old, Orange Crush and one JHxSourOG, ya I'm used to seeing clones shoot right up and branch out quicker, these are already bushing out, I did some fimming on some and they look great, with new growth coming out the nodes, all of them are doing it, slowly but surely I can see the difference everyday
