Sounds like she's ready or almost ready. She will have a "dryer" look to her once all the hairs have turned. Without a pic its hard to say, good luck.

IMO....amber trics are a sign of over-ripe and will result in mostly couchlock regardless the strain....personally, I chop all my plants when trics are 95% cloudy, a few clear and even fewer amber....been doing it this way for years...finding a "mean" by which to harvest allows you to enjoy what the strain has to offer without "coloring" it's result...

Trainwreck takes at least ten weeks in soil. I always choos to wait cause it will be much stronger and have more flavors. Take a tester bud in the middle of the plant and quick dry it. You shold wait cause trainwreck puts on most its weight past the 7th week for me.

You don't look at triches until the third wave that covers everything which comes after the swell. Remember there has been triches on since week 4 and those will turn amber way before the final wave, the one that counts arrives. Trust me I have a friend who chops all his stuff at soon as he sees a triche on his bud. Pistils still whiteish and pointed.

I told him over and over not to chop. Crispy no taste and since they were sativas, He ended up with a 12%g/w and hates me now because I have same phenyos at late flower. I never said told you so, but damn.

-Leave the yellowing leaves, the plant is pulling nutrients from them, that's why they are yellowing. It's an "end of life" thing.

- The pistil color is irrelevant, white, red, orange,...irrelevant in regards to harvesting

- I like to keep the trichs below 25%, much like oldreefer and for the same reasons. THC DOES degrade after a certain point. If you chop at 50%, you are a hair over ripe as the plant continues to mature after being chopped. Either way, the trich color is the ONLY thing you want to harvest by. Not looks, color or anything else,....trich color.

-I've run tw 3 times. 2 runs went 10 weeks and the last one went 11 and I'm in hydro (which can finish earlier)

** Someone mentioned earlier about when to start counting your flowering days. When the breeder puts a time on his strain like "9 weeks", that time is figured from the onset of flowering, NOT from the 12/12 switch.
