Should I grow Pre-98 Bubba first or the OG #18?

Looking to add a new strain to my collection. I have the pre-98 Bubba and OG#18 seeds. I only have enough room to start one strain at a time and can't decide which to do first. I am equally excited about both. :joint:

Which would you grow first and why?

Go with the bubba it's more tasty and still very potent IMHO . I been smoking bubba for past month and that's rare usually it takes a couple weeks and I'm sick of the strain or immune but not this strain.

2 great strain's bro, it's all about personal prefrence....Isn't there any way you could run just 1 or 2 of both? That would be Ideal. But I guess if I had to pick, it would be the bubba.....I heard they yield a little better, and it would make a great fall/winter "stash" crop.

Hello,

How are you? Hope you are having a nice day. Grown both strains and they both have their pros.

Bubba is tastier. Bubba taste earthy with a hint of coffee. While og kush is a little more potent.

Bubba will stay shorter & have lot of hard rock buds while og kush will stretch more in flowering.

Both strains enjoy some training (Lsting, topping).

+Bubba enjoy topping it will give you lot of new cola (Not suggested with low wattage as the canopy will be filled)

+Og Kush will enjoy lsting early to have more colas (OGKush#18 is a lower yielder) *adding more colas will give you more yield.

Both strains take nutrients like good girls never had any problem with over feeding yet.

Hope it helped you and wish you a nice say.

PS: Bubba was the 98 Bubba from Cali connection and Og kush the OG #18 from reserva privada

He's pretty much spot on. OG#18 is a low yielder but man she packs a punch. I smoke my OG#18 to help me sleep because 1 or two bowls and I'm higher than a giraffes pussy.

Thank you all, for the great replys. It looks like everyone is saying to start with the Bubba.

I plan on incorporating Bubba and then the OG18 into my perpetual SOG (4 plants per sq. ft.). Has anyone grown either strain in a SOG and if so, how did it go?

Thanks again,

G

I just got some of the OG#18 beans, but have no experience growing it... I read that they don't like heat so I'm waiting till after summer, my room is occasionally hitting 88 with this summer heat... so if keeping your room cool is a problem like it is for me, you might want to wait a cycle.

bubba is a fast finishing strain og 18 is 9 weeks usually so you want something done in 7 weeks like bubba or 9 week og lol

The OG 18 grows like a Sativa and stretches just be light on the nutes she doesnt take well to high nute PPM. Long finisher with a straight fuely/sour smell while growing and inside the jars. Low yield-er but most OG's are . Definitely worth it though, the stuff is Fire . Shit knocks me out I dont even smoke it unless I'm gonna take a nap or sleep shit just straight punches you the face.

I remember smoking some real OG back in 2001. A large supplier got a small amount one time and smoked me a bowl when I would go over to visit....
The stuff was pure fire and EVERYTHING I have smoked since then, with OG in the title, was not even close to the real stuff. I am curious as to how the OG18 will compare.:leaf:

Nice, thanks for the info. Yeah I'm not even sure when I'll get to those Og#18 beans, prolly this winter, that was an impulse buy. I don't like stretchy plants. I like to bush my stuff out, multi top, veg for a long time and do fewer plants. Stretchers make that tougher.

Next cycle will be DNA-Martian Mean Green and Cali Connection- Chem4OG. I can't wait for that one!! I'm hoping the chem4og will be able to replace my current chemdog of unknown origins.... my current chemdog bushes out real well, is a great producer, but has very little scent or bag appeal. The little scent could be a good thing though...
