I cut fan leaves off that cover bud sites, I LST my plants though and rely on the extra cola's getting tons of light. The extra light to the bud site over powers the fact that 1 of my fan leaves was removed in order to bring it that sunshiny bliss it needs to fill out =)

Just my .02 but works for me so I'll always do it.

So you say you cut all of your fan leaves off and it didn't adversely effect yield? Alright, whatever- I don't care to argue with that (because I just don't care) but still what's the point in doing it? Why even recommend that anybody try it in the first place; why not just say something like "While I don't agree that the removal of the fan leaves will cause any significant harm to the plant- in most instances it seems to show no benefit"...?

Oh that's right! You're a priggish prick! Seems to me that you never give any actual advice to anybody. All you ever have to say revolves around putting others down; trash talking and belittling strangers over the internet. Do you even realize that there's a way to disagree respectfully; that folks can cross-examine and clarify each others postulations without being a pugnacious fucking wad?

Of course it goes for many more members than Japanfreak alone, but he in particular has demonstrated an arrogant bellicosity and uselessness. He has earned a rightful addition to my ignore list, and if you feel the same as me I suggest you take the identical action.

What about the guano i have. its seabird fossilized guano 1-10-1. any advice??
If you're still in need of advice, what is it that you'd like to know about the guano? It's a potent high phosphorous fertilizer, good for promoting blooms. You can use it to make organic teas, simply mix with water or top dress but begin with small amounts.

Did me saying, "Nope, those aren't my plants" clue you in there Sherlock? HOly fuck you are stupid. When you want to learn how to grow bud without popcorn and get better than a 0.5 gpw PM me and we can talk, till then keep linking your monster pile of popcorn.
funny thing is you posted it up like it was yours until clift709 exposed you on page 3 or 4 of this thread and as for popcorn buds I get that shit at the bottoms because there's no light. I still can prove the pics I put up are mine you can't. You are a phony a fraud a fake and a fool. Does this look familiar?

popcorn at the bottom is normal when you have big plants and as for 150 grams from a 6-8 plants is not good for me 1 plant and over 200 grams is the way to go. Plus I have the strains that have the right genetics you sir are a hater

The only time I cut my fan leaves is when the top level of the canopy is shading the lower part of the main buds. Some genetics put out gigantic fan leaves that will shade their neighbor's cola. It works for me when I have that type of genetics, however your mileage may vary.

No don't cut them!!! Never cut your leaves unless they are already near dead or are constricting air flow from underneath. They power your plant as well as store nutrients, cutting them will only bring down your harvest, I promise you!
this is very true except the last week of grow you can remove all of the larger ones and just leave a few small ones this basically makes the plant think OH SHIT! im gonna die and pumps out a bit more sorta like a last minute effort to "Spread the seed" so to say.

When are you guys gonna realize that the fan leaves produce energy for the plants buds and the buds don't grow from the light.

There is one person that has been posting in this thread that would argue with his turd, that there was a better way to come out of his ass. I can not believe some of the stupid comments that come from this Butt Muncher.

Yes you can clip all the fan leafs off, but why would you? You do want to trim some of the lower fan leafs and scraggly branches away to help air flow and to allow light to get down low. But to each his own.
Some people grow plants that are very bushy and full. This is why they trim things back, if not no light would get below the canopy. Other people grow bean stocks. It also depends on the strain and genetics and the technics that are used.

Later in the flowering stage the plant will start useing some of the nutrients that are stored in the fan leafs. Plus the plant does pull energy from the light from the fan leafs. So yes, trimming away some of the fan leafs and scraggly branches can help, but to Rape your plant of all fan leafs is just crazy, unless it is late in flowering and they are all turning yellow.

But to each his own. If you like to remove all the fan leafs, have a ball.

lol
Looks very nice! how tall was it before harvest and what was the yield?
It was only 3 ft tall but was 5 ft wide all around and got over 8 oz's off of it and the Plant is Blue dream. Why it was only 3 ft tall is because I super cropped it. Oh yeah john12 half these dudes on here have their heads up their asses and sorry for bashing dudes on your thread
