Should I always use full spectrum?

And when they do fail due to a design flaw that exists within the series 2 lights, and now the reflector series due to the "upgrade" to 5W diodes?...

Epistar is what they use if I'm correct.

A lot of burnt people, oh and they don't honor warranty laws either, although I understand they have begun too, perhaps?

Build yourself a light from components it not difficult to learn but takes some time... others will help you.... best not to call people names...

Anyway have a look what you can make after they fail.

CFL's typically run at about 0.4 umol per Watt so you you will be much better with LED as the newer led systems are now getting over 2.2 umol per Watt.

The operating temp is 85 - 105F or 638 BTU for the Mars 2 - 400

150F to me feels hot but is bearable to touch (its different for everyone)
Ok thank you for your reply.

You could do so much better. Mars will take your money and you will be out of money to buy a really valid light.
Ya I looked at a lot more led's and their is a bunch of them that are high quality. It's just so hard to pick one because I don't want to spend my money and end up with a shitty light.

I can't make anything like that. I don't have the space and I don't really know anything about it so I'm just going to get the mars hydro cuz it's only 100 bucks so it's worth a try.

The Mars site itself says to turn both switches on as soon as you can.

I use 1 for cloning and seedlings, they love it.

This is the light I am planning to buy. I am only growing one plant and it's an autoflower so it won't be that big at all.
It's only 100 bucks and I don't need an expensive one because of the space I'm growing in. What do you guys think about this light.

The hydro is about 20% eff. The choice is yours but I would get the vipar 300 it is 130w at the wall and 33% eff. The 450 is 206w and 25% the 600 is 280w and 22%.

If you don't wanna make one and are looking to save a buck get 2x the global star LED it is 65$ and 110w and has good color not any IR/UV in it but whatever right??

Thanks a lot buddy I appreciate it. I have a thread with 4 lights and 2 are viparspectra so I'm thinking of getting that.

I think this one would be good. What do you guys think?
