Should Bud Be Dry Or Still Somewhat Moist

So, i was in amsterdam this week and their bud is different from how mine is. My bud is dry and crumbles nicely, theres really no moisture in it, however the amsterdam buds were still somewhat moist, didnt crumble and had to more be torn into little pieces. Either this is how its really supposed to be or they leave the moisture in for the weight. Any help on if my bud is too dry or if the amsterbud is just too wet? From 4 dif stains from 2 shops all bud was same amount of moisture.

thas weird?? iv always found i could crush bud from amsterdam with my hands. its the reason i never take a crusher lol.

I like to cure my bud so it's sticky when done...

I think the buds you got were just really fresh. Older bud tends to crumble. It sounds like they need to dry or cure a bit longer. Just my thoughts tho

forgot to say lol. i like to crumble the bud with my hands but i dont liek it to crumble to dust.....

lol well... i think the people in amsterdam know what they are doing more so than most of us... so i would aim to have it a little more moist when you dry your own... but then again they have hole facilities made specificley for drying buds in the perfect conditions.
so if your worried about mold then just dry it to crispyness.

dry it until the branches snap when bent, then put in jars to cure and don't let any air in. takes at least 1 month to cure.

that place is over rated. Just read threads about it. Buds there are not done proper anymore. Cali is the place for good herb. Its should be balanced between wet and dry but burn. Plus I bet if u let that dry out it would have been .4 short so thats y it done like that. Best herb is cured not just dryed and sold. Sorry about the trip. I actually just read about the htcc over there and how it was kinda krappy

You have to burp the jars or the buds will probably mold. Not sure why widowman insists on saying this when multiple people tell him he is wrong....

i dunno but when i cure mine off for a month or so they are always still sticky/crispy/springy, it has to do with not only the oil content of the strain but the conditions of the drying/curing. late

I actually like to keep my bud a little moist i don't like it completely dry i think its better moist in the bong too. I also found that really dry bud hits harsher than moist, but thats just me.

lol. Colorado is the place to go for good buds. As for being dry in my experience I like to dry the buds on the line until they are crispy to grab. then leave them up 1 more day. After that I put about 2 to 3 ounces per 1 gallon jar and open it for 5 minutes maybe 1 or 2 times per day and make sure they are starting to even out to a little bit of moisture again. if there is any visible condensation in the jar I would lay them out for like 12 hours depending on how dry your climate is. I would not like to have to "tear" a bud to load it but a tiny bit of sticky is still good... It reminds the smoker that this is the sticky icky and not some dried up old brick weed.

Summary: They must be completely dry to get the massive potency but then let them sticky up again if you can. If you are afraid of mold.... just dry em out... I haven't noticed any difference in the quality of over dry buds... just burn time and weight.

your supposed to dry them all the way, they should crumble like Styrofoam consistency - ultimately I guees it is personal preference but imo its not any good when you dont dry all the way

i dont dry mine until the branches snap i find that it will be too dry for my liking i wait til the bud itself is crispy on the outside and still moist on the inside than straight to the jars for cure. the buds will still be moist but i just take them out of the jar and put them back a couple times a day for the first few days until they are as moist as i want them..the bud will burn slower and longer from my experience but you really have to watch for mold in the beginning check it multiple times a day
