It is more and more difficult to distinguish Canadians from Americans these days.
We have been fucking around in "their" backyard for years now, so I think we can expect more and more retaliation.
To try and get a perspective from "their" side take a look at the regular drone bombings...I would be pissed off. I think we can expect a lot more trouble in the future.

To make myself clear...I fully support our troops. I thank them. They follow orders. I do not agree with our political platform.

one of there senators was saying the were adding 20 armed guards two months from now to ramp up security and they were following 90 people some of wich were involved in this incident and another involving a car.

These are people ( isis ) who will kill multiple begging crying scared children, woman, innocents, captured soldiers, other religion groups, hostages and shoot them dead in large groups. They will have their own kids kill and relish in the deaths of folks who did nothing other than exist. I personally can not sit back and say...oh it's not my issue...look what we do blah blah blah.
None of us here can even imagine what it must be like to be on the end of a isis gun...fuckin period !! Watching hundreds of people being marched to their deaths like sheep or lesser beings is not okay in my books. Shooting people in ditches is a line crossed in my mind.
I have no trouble with my Country fighting ass hats like that. This is really what Canada stands for...we will come and help against murderers like that....ask the Dutch about that. I am personally proud to involved as a country to be fighting bastard murderers like them.
sorry rant over.....it's just very upsetting to see what absolute cruelty on mass they are capable of.

too much sand...too little water.......too much heat.......a ton of poverty...and its not meant as a slight against them....
it would make me angry.....add in years of oppression and in breeding ...and angry dictators....
and a religion open to interpretation of its actual meaning.....bringing with it wild interpretations
and powerful religious leaders

It is very upsetting.
The ongoing atrocities in Africa should also enrage us. Africa isn't as "sexy" as the middle east though.

Agree...so many places that could use help.....I wish we could just sit back and make maple syrup as a country but those innocent days are gone. We can't ignore ass holes like isis..and they won't let us forget either. By bringing it to our very own doors step in Ottawa...must admit..very effective attack

It never fails to amaze me how many cowards will shriek about terrorists, have no issue sending armies to kill people in other countries (as long as they don't have to go fight themselves) and then have no issue with the fact that terrorists (aka criminals) kill a tiny fraction of people while cigarettes, shitty food, and lack of exercise kills orders of magnitudes more. But if you try and tell people that they can't smoke indoors, or advertising garbage as food should be illegal, or otherwise promote health you've basically got a big government "nanny state" trying to intrude on their lives.

War on (insert noun here) should immediately raise everyone's bullshit detector. It'll inevitably result in a tremendous waste of resources, a loss of civil liberties, and a bloated, corrupt, and secretive bureaucracy.

It's already happened here in the US. The "Patriot Act" has created the very scenario you're speaking of. Our government has carte blanche to collect data on every single US citizen all in the name of "security". Phone calls, texts, e-mails..... everything is being watched.

You should really study the history of the region for the last 60 years. The US and its allies are to blame for the rise of Islamic State (Isis) militants because of the history of imperialism in the region and previous western interventions, such as the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Western intelligence agencies had helped in the emergence of Isis, using the militants as a proxy to fight against the Syrian regime and thereby “putting the blades in their hands”.

American leadership of this military campaign will only worsen the situation, as it would be done for the wrong motives.

America has, and is arming the very people that we are now supposedly at war with. The same thing happened when the Soviets invaded Afghanistan in the 80's. America armed (and trained) Bin Laden et al to fight our proxy war.

you're aboslutely right though. Damned ISIS, how dare they attack us, our hands are clean, we've done no wrong.

those bastard murderers? We're little different to them. But because they use swords, not apache gunships, they're bad, we're clean.

Going to war and crying because they fight back is just pathetic. Feel free to explain what these innocent afghan and iraqi civilians did to us though, they must surely have done something pretty heinous to be blown up in their sleep.
