Shocked from high temps

My plants are about 8 weeks in and don't seem like they are anywhere close being ready to harvest. I think this might be because the room gets so hot during the day. Would it make sense to allow these plants to flower longer because of this?

I can't really answer your question but I'm curious as to why you use the term shocked? Eight weeks into flowering, you must have done something right. I have your same concerns. I grow in a small closet with no air conditioning and heat is an issue. I also live in florida which doesn't help. I raised my lights a bit a couple of weeks ago my plants were showing signs of heat discomfort and that did the trick. I have nine and today three females showed themselves. It's going to be a hot next couple of months, I'm hoping for the best. I use a tower fan in the corner of the closet which goes on and off with the lights and two ninety foot a minute twelve volt fans. One as an intake and one in the ceiling for an exhaust. The tower fan blows across the tops of the plants helping to avoid heat build up at the tops of the plants. So far, so good.

It is not uncommon for buds to increase in size greatly in the last two weeks of flowering. I can not find any reference to what strain you are growing but 8 weeks is not a very long time to flower. Depending on strains you can flower 12-15 weeks for sativas and Indicas can go 10 weeks easy.

Hope it helps.
