shelter leaves that's what I call them...look

Guys need your advice please. I have read that trimming off fan leaves(is that what they are called not sure sorry?) is bad for the plant due to stress. In the pics you can see the huge shelter leaf as I like to call it. Underneath has plenty of growth but due to these huge leaves light is being blocked out. Any ideas thx...you guys rock

its not really the stress to worry about...

those leaves are producing a lot of energy for your plant to grow... cut them off, cut off the power supply...

a better idea if they are getting in the way of budspots or something... just tuck them back behind some branches... they'll continue to help your plant and be out of the way!

yeah the leaves are what power the plant, turning sunlight in to energy for the plant to grow, just tuck them under the branch like lumberjack said and you will be cool
