Shaking bulb

I recently installed a 6" can fan in an area created with black/white poly. Problem is the fan is so strong it makes the mh bulb tap the cooltube occassionally, (ping, ping, ping...ping). The poly is pulled tight with a huge amount of negative pressure. I tried running the other end of the cool tube outside of the area, but I still had the same issue. I got a variable speed controller to slow down the can fan as much as I could and it still happens. The duct run is pretty much straight up with no bends. I think I need to create more restriction to slow down the turbidity of air flow. Any suggestions?

I suggest doing something because you are correct, bulbs don't like vibration, it shortens their life.

dhh,

Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking the same thing. I was contemplating just putting one directly on the otherside of the cooltube. Anyone see a problem with this setup?

well i wouldnt put it directly on the end of the cool tube for heat reasons but adding a couple of feet tubing slows the cfm a little to so i would do it like this srubber--fan---------cooltube-----------exit

Sea,

Check my original post, I've already got one and tried it on low. Still not doing the job, thanks though.
Jesus Christ, my apologies. I guess No.15 smokes better than I thought, eh? No, no, no, I can't blame it on the weed, it's my fault for not reading thoroughly.
