Shaggy340 150 hps grow

ok I am growing from locally sourced seeds that were from somebody's medical garden they missed a male so their mistake lead to an unknown male× what he was growing trainwreck,northern lights,sourdiesel. The biggest plant is like 3 days old the others are 1 and two days old and the 4th one still nothing but I just threw in another seed that Cracked today.

down to two plants the front right sprout was growing wrong so just pulled it and threw in a seed that was showing it's tap root.

Hopefully one turns out to be a female! Usually after two different strained plants cross, the offspring show what's called "hybrid vigor", that's when you get the DANKEST nugs, depending on the parenting strains.

And I love seeing other 150w growers. Hope the best for Ya man!

yeah I used the same seeds for an outdoor grow got a good female then the grow was going great a nosey neighbor had to look over the fence so I pulled it up lol but I took clones off of both plants got a good male to then did a indoor breeding project under a t12 with a cfl side light on the female one but the seeds kinda moulded on me hopefully some will sprout that female had awesome genes and good vigorous growth and the male was nice to I will upload a pic of them when I get a chance.

I would upgrade your lighting..........low wattage hps(150w) are horribly inefficient with the added ballast draw, lm/w around the same as cfl's. spend a little more $$ and go for @ least a 250w kit.

yeah I know I'm going to get a 400 watt as soon as the funds are available then the real fun will begin lol.

I got four plants I'm hoping the little sprouts that came up later will catch up to the biggest plant in the 2nd pic which is going to have some big fat indica leaves and it's about a week and three days old all of my other plants took awhile to surface what can you do lol.

ok here's first pic of my biggest plant its northern lights forsure its growing super quick the other plants need to catch up lol. I ordered some new genetics will take a pic when they get here. The 2nd pic is all of the plants have a good day everyone will update this weekend and one of the plants is a mutant will take a close up pic of that later.

Ok got my package in the mail made an order on the 1st of December through oregon green seed got it today going to be doing four plants next outdoor season so glad oregon legalized I order Mastodon and I asked for the extra 10 seeds they inform me that was only a 9 month promo but they gave me 5 extra seeds of what I asked for which was the Cindys blue cheese and I was supposed to only get 11 Mastodon seeds I got 12 lol I will no longer be buying overseas to say the least lol pic number 1 is of the seeds and number 2 is that mutant plant lol.

ok here's a pic of the four plants everything is going good so far plants are happy and starting to grow fast.

ok here's an update my plants where mad about the temp drop had to turn down the main heating unit In the house to 66f because every time the temp drops below 32 outside it stops sucking air from the outside unit and it switches to the auxiliary heating unit which ran alot and made the power bill way high 500 hundred dollars. The plants are doing better now that I put a heater in my grow area a couple of the plants have beautiful fat fat leaves they are all doing good besides one that streched alot more than the rest have a good day every one. pic one is of all the plants pic two is of the streched plant with big fat leafs.

Ok here's an update I pulled the strechy plant so I'm down to 3 and I topped my tallest plant sex still unknown will probaly be switching to 12 on and off as soon as the oldest plant recovers from topping and I figure the other two should have plenty of time to catch up. Nice plants, however I would get a higher wattage Lamp asap. You can get 400w systems really cheap now days. Check out my 5 small plants under a 400w MH Lamp 2 wks into 12/12 :

Only about 13 days in. Every trained cola recovered well, and is now putting on the heat. Can't wait for those resinous calyxes

looks beautiful man I will get a 400 hundred watt hps eventually I'm only going to be growing two plants at the most under the 150 figure I'm going to get a male or two out of three regular seeds.

Thanks Shaggy! If I were running a 150w HPS this is what I would do: Get Feminized seeds (so you don't have to fuck around with males). You could plant 4 fem seeds, top them @ the 4th node and have yourself 32 prime colas that will turn into all bud. Make sure you concentrate the Light in a small space with reflective surfaces. I would go 18/6 from seed and veg until each plant has branches about 6-8" long. Flower, and feel free to add some CFL's if you can at this time. If not, it will still work fine- just make sure ALL the light reaches the plants. Cheers, and happy growing !

Sup Shaggy.. Jus was goin thru your thread and I also use a 150 watt but I mix it up with cfls.. I was gonna ask if your plants stretched? I def recommend using light that u can keep close to your babies without burning them to prevent stretching.. Cfls & Fluorescents work perfect for this.. Then soon as your ready for flower then use the 150 hps.. Have you figured out why your plants are wilting like that?

yeah I know had to raise the light up the other day because I was frying some leafs and the two plants that are wilting probaly just genetics either they can't handle the miracle grow moisture control soil or fungus nat larvae seen some flying around the other two plants are doing bad probaly just going to chop them and hope my healthy other than some leaf burning big fat leafed plant is female lol.

Ok down to two plants chopped down the weak small mutant plant which was forsure a male going to switch the timer to 12 on 12 off tonight.
