havent, i just got this from a friend who had it on his windowsill for 3 months gettin whatever light it got. 3 or 4 days ago i put it under a couple nice big cfls with a fan and some nutes. ive never grown before and basically know nothing about it, i didnt know if you could tell right away or not the sex of the plant. but, i see from reading some stuff that its when u start the flowering cycle. i should prolly leave it in veg for a couple weeks first right??

I would try 24hrs of cfl light, sure.
That will get some vegatation growing before you go 12/12 with the lighting.

If you want to read up a bit on growing look here.

Keep the cfl's as close as possible without burning the plant.
I've even had my lights (cfl and fl tube) touching the plants without any problems (overnight..... not really recommended though), just make sure you don't burn the plant. To measure the heat just use your hand, if it burns you, it will burn the plant. You can keep one of those lights low to help the lower part of the plant if/when needed.
Enjoy your smoke and reading, its addictive reading about growing.

Look forward to your next update.

i read somewhere that if the temp is a little too high then putting a glass of ice water or a frozen bottle of water in the closet helps cool it down a little. im around 88-90 degrees...should i be considering this cold water idea???

Yes you should watch the temps in the room, though easy I'm not sure either of those ideas would work best. The perspiration from the melting ice may create a humidity problem, maybe not.
Its usually better to pump in cooler air into the area, just remember to give it an exhaust/vent to get out the warmer air.

Look here for ideas.

Like you, I was just handed some plants the other day from someone that has no clue how to grow. So I transplanted them and I'm starting a journal within a weeks time. Keep us updated with the cloning as I will clone from these also.

Good Luck and here, have some. :joint:

nice. get em back to health.

here's a pic of the clone. one of my roomies was dying to try planting just the stem with one leaf on it so we tried a couple...the pics are from one day after cutting and transplanting...today, a few days later, the main clone is looking amazing and has some new shoots comin out the top which im happy about, one of the leaf things is looking nice and green still but the other one is kind of starting to turn a yellowish tint. im not putting too much hope in either of them, but the main one is lookin great and should definitely be a nice healthy plant. the thing that I find makes or breaks your clone is if you use a stim-root powder or gel.

Hey man I'm sorry but I'm a bit confused by this statement.
Are you saying the difference is using a gel or a powder?
Or are you saying using a stim root product verses using none at all?

Thanks in advance for clearing that up.

i mean using one at all. powder or gel, whichever your preference.
i like stim-root. it's a powder and is super easy and effective. pretty damn cheap too. got it at canadian tire for like $3.00

once you take a cutting immediately dip the bottom inch of the stem in water then dip it into the stim-root bottle and coat the bottom 1cm of the stem with the powder. knock off any excess powder and stick it into your premade hole in your soil or whatever your using.
