Wondering if anyone has messed around with running reg seeds 12/12 after seedlings stage to get males to show and then flipped back to 18/6 to veg females and if so how's it work? Don't end up getting a bunch of hermie plants after the stress?

Or clone the plant right away and 12/12 that clone.

I have done just that a few times and have been thinking of doing it again soon.

You can 12/12 from when they break ground. They will show in sex 2-3 weeks. When ya flip them back to veg you will get a much bushier plant. I normally take clones in the flower stage anyways just for that reason.

Clip a cut from each plant and toss it in a cup of water so the bottom 1/2” of the stump is submerged. Then toss them on the floor of a tent running 12/12. It helps if you already have a tent in flower. The cups can just sit in the shadows & sex should show anywhere from 7-14 days.
My last go at this is still active. 3 of 4 plants showed sex in 7-8 days. Still waiting on another. It’s been 10 days.

Thanks for the fast replies and for the expertise. I'm going to give it a shot with some dirty bird dark souls testers. I got a soft spot for the unknown and testers got my name all over them haha

Never seen a seedling show sex that soon.
