sexing then back to veg?

ok i tried searching and either not searching for the right phrases or just lost lol. anywho gonna be growing random seeds and wanted to 12/12 them long enough just to show sex then change back to veg after i weave out the males. question is how long of a setback will this be and is it ok to do? was pretty sure i read about it years ago and its ok just dont remember. i planned on doing scrog so i dont wanna waste the time training plants that might turn out male

honesty dont suggest it but it def could be done. i would just purchase sum autoflowering fem seeds lol..

It could be a setback of 3-5 weeks, yes, I said weeks.
