Hey man keeping a hermaphrodite is like keeping a stillborn baby not really much good for anything and if you trying to harvest seeds from it probably a bad idea because of the genetic coding in that plant is hermaphrodite so the seeds will most likely be hermaphrodite which is no good and smoking it might not be that great because the potency won't be there due to the fact that it will try to seed itself not leaving room for bud development

I gotcha mate, but this is my only plant and I've been growing this he/she Bruce Jenner for 2.5 months.
I'm gonna let it flower out and learn something.
The good news is I don't have to worry about cross pollination and ruining other plants.
Hoping that it will produce some relatively decent smoke. I certainly understand that it's not gonna be great.
I'll deal with the seeds and pick them out as I go. Won't save any. I've also read that if I stay on top of it and remove the male parts as they grow I can still enjoy whatever female buds that are produced.
I'm also 90% certain that it turned out Hermie because of early stress during veg.

It likely turned hermie because the plant it came from was a hermie and it's seeds would just produce more hermies.

If you pick off the balls you can still have a good harvest. Let it seed all up and you'll get half as much that's half as potent. A lot of times they throw balls at the beginning of flower then stop. I have 5 - 3ft OG18s that popped out a few right at the bottom of the plant about week 2 and hasn't shown anymore thank jah. There's 22 more plants in there with them so it would have hurt to junk them.

Good luck.

I've done a lot of research on sexing marijuana plants recently, becasue I was worried that my 5 plants may be male. Turns out it was just too early to tell, and they all ended up being female, which was awesome news.

That my friend is what we call a hermaphrodite sorry man time to cut it and restart
Pic off the pollen sacks and carry on. It is not ideal but if that is what you want to do. It's your thang.

I don't see any indication these are hermie. Can the people who are claiming that this plant is hermaphrodite explain how they came to that conclusion from the two original pictures provided?

Bareback, do you see pollen sacks in the pictures, or are you just going off of what Silence said?

Last picture looks great man, bud density is starting to happen!

I'm not sure today what I thinking on that day. But I don't see any issues.

No I don't go off of what someone else says, so if I make a mistake it's my own.

I am on a phone with a scratchy screen and if I was outside at the time I wouldn't have been able to see clearly. Hence why I said remove pollen sacks and carry on. I'm inside now and I don't see any issues , and if I gave a bad report I apologise, thanks for calling me out.

Hey man, I actually wasn't calling you out at all, but I appreciate you owning your own words, and giving me a recap of the situation haha :bigjoint:

My previous post was actually more so directed at Silence, they were the one to say "that's a hermie, cut it down." I don't see any obvious signs it's a hermie, so I was wondering how they could tell so fast.

If there is a sure fire way to tell that a plant is hermie, from two slightly blurred pictures, I'd like to know!

I thought your advise was good, if it is hermie, pull the pollen sacks and keep it growing. If it's someone's only plant, why not, right?

Cheers mate! :peace:

I had a plant hermie recently. And I didn't really understand what was going on (new strain, inexperienced grower) so it happened. Shitty buds, not very potent, scraggly and full of seeds. Well, I harvested her and her smoke is not great but its good for sleep so it worked out, and I kept about 50 seeds or so and popped two of them... they are now about 6 weeks in flower and are NOT hermie and are thick with trichomes and look great. Maybe I'm a lucky idiot? (probably). But still, even if your girl seeds, I would say grow her and see what happens and then grow the seeds because these two girls I'm growing are very nice.

Dr who said seeded plants have 3 cannabinoids that unseeded plants don't.

They look great! To be sure it's not hermie, check underneath all the bud sites. If you see little balls, or little banana shaped pollen flowers (not sure what they're actually called), then it's hermie. As freewanderer said you can pick them off. Check it out, and post some pictures if you can!

If you don't see any little banana-pollen-arms, then you can disregard the last paragraph entirely! :bigjoint:
