Seting up a 2 plant CFL grow

aqua, what were u payin for that kinda bulb i just said (the 26watter)?

okay so like a fire blanket... maybe i could hot glue to put in the lining. do you know where i could by this blanket... plus any ideals on a filter... maybe a way to make a home made carbon filter or any kind of a filter

but i am about 3/4s of the way done building my small cfl grow for two plants. if you want to check out this link I posted a bunch of pics of the closet in the building process. how i made a fixture(s) exhaust, and carbon scrubber.

well the 23watt +100watt bulb is like 2 for 8 bucksand there like 1750 lumens for the veg and 1800 for the flowering bulbs

dont forget that the lumen output of the bulb actually depends on the position of the bulb. if the top of bulb is facing up or down you loose 100 lumens or more. if the top of the bulb is facing horizontally (left or right) you wont loose any lumens. cfls were designed to be used in a horizontally mounted fashion.

that is a very large grow to me i will be flowering at 7 to 8 in.. i am going to do a PC grow any i deals on a carbon filter or any kind of a filter that dose not look obvese

I will also be flowering around that same height as well due to the fact that i am using cfls. you dont want your plants to veg to tall before you flower with cfls because cfls dont have very good light penetration

as far as a stealth c scrubber for your computer i would take apart the cpu and use the cpu housing as a place to put the scrubber and to mount a fan. not sure if the computer fan will be strong enough to push/pull air threw a scrubber.

The bulbs are great and yes, $5 shipped! Too bad they don't have 6500s for that. I got a dozen and when they came I checked them all and one of 12 was dead. I emailed amazon and said I didn't want to return the whole six pack for one bulb. They offered me a 25% discount on the sixpack, $8+, good deal! I also bought feit 42w 6500s from amazon for $8.99 each.

wow the 42 150watt clf is cheaper at wal-mart or when kroger they run 6.99 each for 6500k and 2700k. some PC fans blow harder then the other depends on the fan the 12V are the best they blow pretty good.. what about using a cardboard tube and covering the end with a fish filter fabric and use charcol from the fish filter in the tube...

well now i have it all together as far as what i need to get... my buddy has 2 old computers she said i could have... so there is my grow box and fans....
1. 12v power supply for each fan
2. 4 or 5 light bulb adapters
3. 4 6500K veg lights

4. 5 100watt 2700k lights
5. safty blanket or panda paper
6. power strip
7. MG poting soil
i have already 3 100watt beg lights and timer with 2 PC towers and fans so i got somthings but need more

well if any body has anything they would like to donate to me i wiould be more then glad to take it off your hands

sounds like ur good big bud toss them 6500ks in there, n u'll b good. u should leave one of the 6500k bulbs in when u flower tho, i myself will have 4 2700k and one 26watt 6500k.. makes quite the nice spectrum..

well dose that 6500K even help with flowering .. do you have any Ideals on a home made filter for a PC planter

plus should i have one 2700K during veg. plus i will be adding pics from my frist try at growing with CFLs

pc planter i cant really help with, someone will soon tho, but as far as the 6500k while flowering, its just nice to have a mixed spectrum.. for veg i have 2-30watt 2100 lumen 3500k, n 2 26 watt 6500k, to mix nicely.. i need another 6500k tho, but im only growing one plant.

I have a home done cfl thing I made. Had 25 100 watt equal cfls in it.





I wouldnt reccomend it for seroius flowering.
1 400 watt hps was immeadiatly 4x better and faster.
And I got about 50 bucks tied up in my 400w HPS light.

PS though, Goodluck on the cfl grow.
Also they raised the temps even more than my hps light does now.
But probably because there was 25 of them.

this is my last plnat i grew it in MG soil for flowering plants.. i veged with 2 42watt CFL and flowered with 4 42watt CFLs the pic of it when it was younger was at 2 weeks and the others where 8 days into flowering

Oh yeah i for got to tell ya this is a bagseed plant

well there is what i have got done to the PC planter now.. and the light fixtures i am going to be using.. plus i am going to just paint the inside of it white i am going to line it with cardboard and then paint the cardboard... TELL ME WHAT YOU ALL THINK SO FAR
