hey guys,
this will be my first time growing so im trying to make sure i gather all the info i can before starting. i will explain how im going about things along with asking questions for each topic. ANY AND ALL comments, answers, advice is very much appreciated!!
(fyi - may be long to read lol i type alot when im high haha
but if you can try to answer at least one question of mine it would help out a fellow pot head)
Grow Room(Closet) - size is still TBD but the minimum space would be a 4x8 well vented with intake and exhaust fans (also central air is kept at 70F and i have a ceiling fan would be outside of grow room) inside will be painted flat white
Seeds - i have 12-20 seeds saved up from bud that i have smoked. going to start with these as my trial run (experience gain) before ordering the good stuff. i will be ordering from http://www.worldwide-marijuana-seeds.com/
Water - Poland Spring Water (water bottles) should i get a bucket to mix the nutes/fert and water then pour into the bottle to feed the plants? ill be watering when i feel the soil is dry and not moist ; along with mist spraying the leaving with just pure water. (is there a certain time to water more during that phase then another?)
Germination - will be putting the seeds into a cup of water (poland spring water) and placing in a dark area. if area is around 70F i will place a hand warmer near the cup to try to raise it to 80F
Lights - Pro Grow 180 (160w) LED (http://hydroponicshut.com/pro-grow-180-watt-led-grow-light-hydroponics-hut.html) buying two. but does anyone know if these are good for seeding? if not what is a good light set up. i planned on having one on during seeding. i will be using these lights throught of the veggie and flowering stages.
Soil - 50/50 mix FF Ocean Forest and FF Light Warrior with rocks on the bottom for better drainage. i will be ordering the soil online because my local HD does not carry FF (or happy frog) but i saw that they have different state names, is there any difference? (a link would help) does the soil also have to be at 6.5ph? or is that just the water?
Temperature - will be kept at 75 F during seeding/vegetation/flowering (should humidity be 60%?)
Seeding - i planned on planting the seeds straight into a 4gallon bucket after germination instead of a solo cup. im tryin to reduce the shock of transporting but will the 50/50 mix be too much for the seeds? what is a better recommendation? will be getting 24 hours of light during seeding. i plan on having the soil moist already before planting
Nutrients/Fertilizer - This is where i need ALOT of help lol :: for nutes i have NO idea where to start, point me in a direction please on what to get!! lol... for fert i read that hydro solutions will work with soil too. to use a 20-5-5 solution during veggie phase and 5-15-15 during flowering. i just dont know what brand to buy or if thats even correct. a link of where to buy it would be great... is bat guano something i should buy? again should i buy a bucket to mix this with the water if so how big a bucket? i know a 100 liter container wont fit.
when is the right time to start adding the nutes and fert?
Vegetation - i plan to give the plants 20/4 hours of light for 1-2 weeks then switch to 18/6 for the rest. what is the ideal time to leave a plant to veggie?
Flowering - here i will be on a 12/12 light schedule.
Odor Control - Ona gel. 1 quart (may buy two if smell is that strong) and scented candles lol
pH tester - (nothing expensive) the one you test the water with the drips and match the color (any link where to buy this?) will try to keep a 6.5pH level
Co2 - no co2 as to i will be sleeping in the same room as the grow room(closet) plus i will be in the same room as the grow room(closet) constantly so my breathing should be more then enough.
Harvest - i will be pulling the plant from the bottom and will hang to dry. would putting it in my grow area be ok as long as the lights and fans are off?

i plan on writing a setup and guide line (using LED light setup) for first time growers . the book "Growing Elite Marijuana" was a great book and easy to understand but it didnt fill in ALL the blanks. i plan to include what to buy, where to buy, online links, and pictures of the grow. just trying to help out the community
