slugs are easy to get rid of.

if you place your pot on a square of copper roof flashing so the copper sticks out 1-2 inches on all sides, no new slugs will approach your pot. (slug slime on copper creates a painful electrical charge in the slug's sensitive undercarriage lulz!)

sprinkling dried crushed eggshells on the surface of the soil cuts their feet up, and adds calcium and buffers acid in your soil

pie tins with a 1/2 inch of beer in the bottom will drown the fuckers (if deer might be a problem, beer will attract those bastards)

sluggetta is a slug/snail poison thats safe for pets as long as you keep them away when you throw it out, but once its on the ground your pets can go right back in.

corries is cheaper, very effective, but your pets might eat it

A pie tin filled with salt?
pie tin full of beer. beer draws slugs and snails in, then they drown, but deer like beer too, so if you have deer in your area youll be drawing herbivores near your delicious pot plants.

a pie tin full of salt would only make the deer even happier.

Or the other one I've heard is u bury a half full beer can in the dirt with the top exposed at the same level as the dirt and the slugs will crawl into the can and cant get out, been growin indoors and when I was outdoors didn't have slug problems so don't know if it works from experience only from someone else post.
